Well, here's my story.... it sucks, I know, but whatever. And the title sucks 'cause I thought about it at last minute. Oh well.

Untitled

There wasn't anything else
I could do, nothing good to stay for. I had to get away, quickly
and quietly. I had to go, before HE found me. Before HE took away
the last of what I had. I had to go before he stole the only important
thing I had left in my life; my freedom. I had to get
away. So, abandoning the everything I knew, everything that used
to be important, I ran. How long, I don't know, but I knew I couldn't
stop. HE was coming. I could sense the evilness emitting strongly
from his body. And I knew, without a doubt that HE was going to
find me. So I kept running, and hoped, for even the slimmest of
chances, that I would find a place not even HE could find.

I'd been running for what
seemed like hours, and I was exhausted. The fatigue from my exertion
had finally caught up with me. My legs hurt, my breath coming in
shallow pants. I needed to stop and rest, but no shelter was near.
There was nothing to protect me from the storm to come. Hoping
to find cover from the terrible weather, I continued running. Finally,
I saw some rocks about a hundred feet away, shaped in the form of
a makeshift cave. It was just the kind of thing I was looking for.
I quickened my pace just a bit. The faster I made it there, the
sooner I could rest.

***

The makeshift cave was
small, but big enough for me to get into; although it was a tight
fit, it was better than nothing. I took off the sheath and sword
on my right, deciding it would be easier to get into the cave with
it off, and untied the pouch on my left side as well. After both
items were off, I crawled into the makeshift cave, then grabbed
the pouch and sword, and dragged them in as well. Laying the sword
to my right, I took the small pouch and dumped the contents in my
hand. A beautiful wooden comb my mother used to wear; a small red
amulet made by my father; an emerald ring given to me by my cousin,
and a few rations of food. They, and the sword, were the only things
I could find. A small collection of the things from people who
had meant the world to me and a bit of food to survive on. I took
and ate a bit of the rations, knowing I had to make them last, and
then put everything back in the pouch. When I finished, I drew
my legs in, curled my arms around them, and rested my chin upon
my knees. It was going to be a cold night. Huddling into my cloak,
I watched as the rain began to pour, the sounds of tiny droplets
hitting the ground lulled me to sleep.

***

I awoke to the soft pitter-patter
that had put me to sleep. How long I slept was even a mystery to
me, but at least I had gotten rest. Grabbing my pouch and sword,
I crawled out from the rocks. After reattaching both articles to
my person, I set off in the opposite direction from which I came,
at a quick, but steady pace. HE was slowed down by the storm, and
I was going to take advantage of that fact, and put more distance
between us. I wasn't going to be slowed because of the weather.

Hours seemed to have pasted,
and the rain was starting to let up, though the clouds were getting
darker by the minute. HE hadn't moved yet, and for that I was grateful,
but it was only a matter of time until he did.

I slowed to a walk, my
energy almost completely drained. It was one thing to be running
hours on end, but it was another trying to ward off the constant
trickle of rain. There was only so much a fire nymph [1] could
take, and being continually bombarded by water was definitely NOT
one of those things. Another thing is the fact that they needed
almost constant exposure to fire or heat. And me, being
the fire nymph that I am, desperately needed two things;
heat, preferably fire, and to be out of the rain. It was a good
thing I had Father's amulet, or I'd be dead, but the amulet could
only take so much, and I needed fire...and soon!

Hours passed, and the clouds
had grown to an almost black color. The day, if it was still day,
looked to be night. The clouds so thick, not even the sunlight
could penetrate them. Thunder rumbled in the distance, and I was
probably the only one stupid enough to be out with a strong storm
brewing. I had been lucky the rain hadn't started up again, but
I definitely needed shelter for THIS storm. Even the strongest
of fire nymphs would be weakened by a large storm as the one coming,
and I was DEFINITELY NOT in shape for another storm, no matter the
size.

Using the energy I had
stored for a moment like this, I started running at a ground-eating
pace, going up and down the mountainous landscape as if they were
nothing. A crack of thunder came, two miles away, and lightning
flashed soon after. The rain was coming! I became the howling
wind, picking up speed and moving gracefully and fluidly across
the land. There! A castle was up ahead. Going full speed, a speed
unmatched by anyone as of yet, I was at the door of the beautifully
built structure in no time. Hopefully, the owners would let me
stay.

Bang! Bang!
I pounded on the door incessantly. Bang, bang, bang!
I thought I heard some shuffling behind the door, but it could've
been just me. Lord knows I've probably got a cold from being out
this long. BANG! BANG! I knocked harder. What
was taking so long?! The door finally opened, and I was shocked
at what I saw.

A bean sídhe [2]! A real
one! And not just any bean sídhe, a MALE bean sídhe!
I didn't even know they existed! I'd always been told bean sídhes
were ONLY female, and were extinct, but here was a bean sídhe, in
the flesh, and a MALE one at that! It must be the cold, I told
myself, I'm just hallucinating. Yes, that must be it.
The cold must be playing with my senses, and altering what I know.
It probably wasn't a bean sídhe I was sensing, just something I'm
mistaking as a bean sídhe aura. But as I was busy with my internal
dialogue, the man was talking.

“-- here?”

“Huh?” was my intelligent
reply.

“I SAID, who are
you, and what are you doing here?”

“Oh.” Well, THAT was a
really smart thing to say.

“Well?! What do you want?!”

He was getting mad, and
that didn't help my situation in the least, so I quickly explained
myself.

“Well, ummm, you see, ahhh,
I mean, uhhh, that is, willyouletmestayuntilthestormends?” I said
nervously, rushing the end.

“...Could you run that
buy me again? I didn't quite hear that, with all the 'ummm's and
'uhhh's,” he said the last part with sarcasm, and I thought I saw
him rolling his eyes, but I wasn't sure.

“Well, that could be a
while, but I'll see what I can do...” I was glad that he was letting
me stay...well, hopefully he'd let me stay. “Hang on. Tenshi!
Come here!” he yelled into the house. He seemed to be waiting
for someone, and I believed I heard a faint “What?” from the interior
of the building. “Some girl wants to stay here for a while. That
okay with you?”

Please say yes, please
say yes, please say yes, I thought vigorously. I hoped that this
Tenshi person was kind; if not, then they'd be seeing a dead body
soon.

BOOM! CRACK!
More lightning and thunder. Tiny droplets started falling slowly,
but it was quickly began picking up pace.

“--ing to me?! He said
you could stay! Hello?! Anybody in there?”

I realized the man was
talking again, and quickly brought myself back to the present.

“...uhhh, sorry. Thanks
for letting me stay. I'm in your debt.”

***

As I walked into the building,
I immediately began to feel better. The castle was illuminated
with candles everywhere, and I soaked up the heat like a sponge.
I was in utopia. I was unquestionably better than I'd been for
the past few days. With my strength coming back to me gradually,
I felt safe enough to relax, if only for a little while.

I followed the bean sídhe,
him eventually leading me to what I guessed to be a living room
or parlor.

“Uhhh... If you don't mind
me asking, what's your name? Or can I make one up for you if you're
not going to give me it...?”

“My name is unimportant,
Fire Nymph, but if you must call me something,
call me Tatsuwa.”

“Ah. Ta-tsu-wa...?” I
pronounced uncertainly, looking at him for confirmation. He nodded,
understanding my hesitation. I smiled, and told him my name.

“I am Remula of Wazokana.”

“Ah, Lady Wazokana, it
is a pleasure.”

“You may call me Remula,
if you wish. Fire or Fire Nymph is fine too. I am not ashamed
of my heritage.”

“Of course. Come, Lady
Fire, I will show you a room for your stay --”

Grrrrr!

“-- after I find you something
to eat.”

My face flushed with embarrassment,
I quickly replied.

“Thank you. And no need
for formalities. I am perfectly fine with just Fire, or
whatever you prefer you call me as. We aren't at court; I don't
expect you to treat me as a courtier.”

He didn't reply, but then
again, I didn't expect him to. Most have had a similar reaction
when I'd tell them to call my by my name, no 'Lady', or 'Miss',
or 'Princess', or whatnot, necessary.

We walked down numerous
halls, going left, then right, down, then straight. It was very
confusing for me to remember, since I wasn't in top shape, but we
finally got to our destination; the kitchen. Tatsuwa found some
bread and ale for me to eat, and although I've never drank ale or
ate just plain bread, I was grateful. Anything was better
than nothing at all.

After I finished, the man
lead me up a couple dozen stairs, down many halls, and passed what
seemed to be THOUSANDS of doors. Finally, we stopped in front of
a door, which I hoped was mine, for I was still exhausted by the
long run, and still a bit nauseous from the rain.

“You can stay here for
now, Fire. If you need anything, just call for me, I'll hear you.
Sleep well. I'll come and get you in time for breakfast. Good
night.”

“G'night, Tatsuwa,” I replied
as I opened the door, “Thanks again, for everything.”

“No problem,” he answered,
walking away.

I went into the room, and
quickly located the bed in the candlelit room. Everything else
could wait until tomorrow. I was tired now, and the bed was calling
to me. I walked over, tossed myself onto the bed, and was asleep
as soon as I hit the covers.

*~*~*

“Run, Honey! Get away
from here! NOW! GO!”

“But Mom --”

“No! Get going! Hurry!”
she screamed at me as she ran to the armory. She grabbed the only
sword left, her favorite sword and looked for armor that fit her
small frame, but didn't find any. She rushed back out, and started
going to the heart of the fight, but stopped as she saw me still
in the same spot as earlier.

“Why didn't you LEAVE?!
I NEED you to GO, NOW! Don't you understand?!
He'll take you away! He'll take you! There are things worst than
death, Love, things that you can't even imagine! You'll want to
die, if he gets you! Please! I'm begging! You know I wouldn't
tell you to do anything unless it was important! GO! Run! Hide
somewhere! Don't let him get you!” she shrieked hysterically at
me.

“Please...just go. For
me, Hon, for me. Do this for me...” she pleaded for the last time,
before she left. She didn't look back, needing to concentrate for
the battle ahead.

***

I ran foolishly into the
battle, thinking I could help, but how could I, with no weapon,
and still developing my skill? All I knew were a few basic fire
attacks, my special sensing abilities, which was a rare skill, and
my unrivaled speed. Nothing that would help my people...

I saw as our numbers grew
less and less; people I've known since I was a baby dying by the
hands of the enemy, right before my eyes. Watching as SHE slaughtered
my friends, grinning for all the world, as if this was the happiest
girl alive. SHE, Kage Yami, the enemy's best infiltrator and assassin...my
supposed 'friend'. I observed as SHE murdered Hashito, my best
friend's fiancé.

I saw HIM, sitting all
high and mighty, and laughing at the scene before HIM. I watched
as HE killed my family; first Meiaka, my cousin; then Father, the
king; my beloved mother was last. I saw the pleasure in his face
as the blood flowed out of their dying bodies. At that point, most
everyone in my father's land, now mine, had been killed, murdered.
And I watched as the rest tried valiantly to destroy the enemies,
and I, miraculously, was still not engaged in battle.

“Get away from me, you
bastard!”

Aiashi! My best friend!
I'd recognize her voice anywhere! Turning to the source of the
voice, I saw a VERY disturbing sight. There, in the center
of all the chaos and death, was my best friend, lying on the ground,
bruised and bleeding. And standing next to her broken body was
HIM. Kietahi. The one in charge and responsible for everything.
He knelt, and pinned her arms down, not that she could struggle,
for she was in too much pain, but she tried. I could see the hurt
in her eyes, but she wouldn't back down. Aiashi was the type to
NEVER back down. She was the most courageous person I knew, but
she looked so small compared to him. And then, he raped her. Hard
and fast. I saw the sick and twisted pleasure he got from it, and
it made me sick to my stomach, but I couldn't look away.

My best friend was being
raped, and all I could do was watch in morbid fascination. I saw
the look in Aiashi's eyes. She was dying and she knew it. She
was losing too much blood as it was, and adding the loss of blood
from the raping.... But her face didn't show any pain. It was
amazing how she did that, be so strong that she didn't show a hint
of discomfort. And then, her eyes locked on me.

'Go, Remula. Get out of
here. I don't want you to be next,' she told me telepathically.
That was her special power, telepathy.

I saw the determination
in her eyes; she was trying to keep his attention on her, so I could
get away. Even when she was being torn apart brutally, she still
thought of my welfare... I knew I had to go. I didn't listen to
my mother; didn't think THEY were that powerful, but now I saw.
I needed to hide, for there wasn't enough time to get far away.
I had to do this, for Aiashi. She was suffering for me. She was
dying for the good of the kingdom... and it was up to me to get
revenge. I was not going to let her suffer in vain.

'Thank you Ai...' I thought
to her, hoping she would hear, as I began looking for an escape
root.

'No need, my friend. Please,
take my sword, if you can. And be safe. Hurry; go now.'

I looked into her eyes
for the last time, and nodded my head. Then, I located her sword
laying about ten feet away from where her body was. The sheath
laid five feet away from me. I picked up the beautifully decorated
sheath, then glided between the dead bodies on the ground, staying
out of the crimson puddles. I grabbed the treasured sword from
its resting place, coated with dried blood, dirt, and other things
I didn't want to imagine. Ripping part of my skirt off, I cleaned
the blade, quickly, but efficiently. I then put it in its sheath,
and ran back to the palace building, knowing no one was there yet.

I found a few small trinkets
to take with me, nothing to large as to hinder my escape, and then
went to my room. I changed out of my damaged dress, and into something
simple and comfortable, making sure it would not restrict my movements.
Then I waited. It would not do to try to escape in broad daylight.

***

“--way?! What kind of
assassin are you?! She should have been caught FIRST! I told you
I wanted her, and then you let her ESCAPE?! You incompetent fool!”

It was HIM. His voice
carried up the halls and to my room. I rushed to the door, and
listened, careful not to make a sound.

“Sorry, but if you weren't
so busy with her friend, then you would have saw her RIGHT BEHIND
YOU! I had people to kill, you know. I mean, you DID order me
to 'destroy them all, but leave the girl'.”

“Don't talk back to me!
I'm in charge, don't forget that!”

Their voices drifted off,
as the advanced to another room in the building. This was my chance!
I had to go, now! I ran to the window, and jumped out, landing
soundlessly on the ground five stories down. I looked around, and
saw a few enemy guards blocking the gate entrance. Hoping I could
evade them, I ran. They saw me running and tried to get me, but
I was too good, and hopped the ten foot wall as if it were nothing.
It was a good thing I had practice escaping the confines of the
palace, or I'd be dead meat.

Outside the wall around
the palace, were at least a dozen guards I hadn't anticipated, and
were coming towards me quickly. They surrounded me, and there seemed
to be no escape! I looked around, trying to find a fault in their
advancement. They were close now, about ten feet away, and if I
wanted to get away, I had to go NOW, but there seemed like no escape!
I --

*~*~*

“Fire?! You in there?!”
BANG, BANG, BANG! “FIRE?! Wake up!” Bang, bang!
“Come on, get up! Hello? You in there?!”

I awoke, sweating and hyperventilating.
Confused for a moment, I quickly remembered where I was, and what
I had dreamed. But then, it wasn't a dream, since it happened.
And I knew I was lucky to have gotten away.

Hearing the banging, I
hastily replied.

“Sorry! I'll be there
in a minute!”

“Alright! But do hurry!
Tenshi isn't a very patient man.”

I got up, located the mirror,
and looked at my reflection. Cobalt blue hair that reached the
middle of my back and amethyst colored eyes stared back at me.
I wore a tight black tank top, black pants that clung to my legs,
and black boots that went up to mid-calf. A long crimson cloak
that reached the ground completed the outfit.

The clothes had dried,
although the boots were still a bit soggy, but that was to be expected.
My hair was another matter entirely. It was tangled from the running,
and sleeping with it in such a state had only made it worst. I
used a low level spell my cousin had taught me to fix my hair.
Then I checked my reflection again. I looked presentable enough,
so I walked to the door and opened it.

“Took you long enough.”

“I'm sorry I kept you waiting.
I was just tired,” I replied.

“S'okay. Come on, let's
go.”

***

As I followed Tatsuwa,
I realized that my earlier analysis of him was correct. He WAS
a male bean sídhe. I knew that no one would believe me if I told
them that I've seen a bean sídhe, but at least I know that they
exist, even if it IS only one.

I took in his appearance
for the first time; yesterday I was too distracted to notice. He
had long black hair with red streaks that reached his hips, and
prussian blue eyes. He looked quite feminine, and could pass as
a woman, if he wanted to. He wore a deep violet tunic with matching
pants and black boots. A black cape swirled around him as he walked.

“I didn't think there were
such a thing as a male bean sídhe,” I remarked, as we walked though
yet another corridor.

“I'm amazed. Not many
can sense auras. And I'm probably the only male bean sídhe. Was
an accident I'm told. Doesn't matter,” he replied offhandedly.

“Ah.”

“Come on, we're almost
there.”

We walked on for a few
more minutes, then stopped in front of a double door. He opened
the door, and the two of us walked in. Inside, was another man
sitting at the head of a table. He stood as we came in, and strode
over to us.

“Tenshi, this is Remula
of Wazokana; Fire, this is Tenshi,” Tatsuwa said, introducing us.

“Ah, Tenshi, it's a pleasure.”

The other man nodded to
me, and replied, “The pleasure is all mine, Lady Remula.”

“As I've told Tatsuwa here,
no need for formalities. Remula's just fine. Or you could call
me Fire, like Tatsuwa.”

“I'll keep that in mind.
Why don't you two eat now. The food is getting cold.”

***

As we ate, I took in Tenshi's
appearance. The first thing that noticed were his beautiful silver
eyes. Then his short, spiked hair that was a maroon color. He
wore a royale blue tunic with matching pants in the same style as
Tatsuwa. He was handsome and seemed to be a person anyone could
trust. But I wasn't fooled by his looks. He was dangerous. A
half vampyre [3], half incubus [4]; a unique and very rare breed,
but deadly when provoked.

When Tatsuwa and I finished
our breakfast, Tenshi led us out of the dining room, and into the
parlor I saw the night before. I surveyed the room as we walked
in. It was breathtaking. I recalled the memory of the outside
of the castle, and seeing a room like this was definitely not what
I expected.

On the outside, the building
looked ancient; stone walls that looked as if they would crumble
at the smallest of touches, iron doors contrasting the strength
of the walls, and ivy clinging to almost every available surface.

This room, however, was
the complete opposite; the furniture seemed new; the plants placed
sparsely around the house; the pictures were perfectly framed, and
an abundant amount of candles scattered around everywhere. It had
a very surreal feeling to it.

I took a seat near a window,
Tatsuwa and Tenshi sitting on the couch. I stared out of the window,
watching the rain continue to fall down heavily. There were tons
of green hills, probably going out for miles. It was still dark
out, like the night before.

“Where are we?” I asked,
curious as to how far I had gotten.

“We're in Kuma,” Tatsuwa
replied.

Kuma. That sounded familiar,
but I couldn't figure out where.

“Why are you here?” Tenshi
asked, and I could feel his gaze on me.

“I thought Tatsuwa told
you...? I'm here to wait until the rain ends, at which point, I
will leave,” I replied nervously. I knew exactly what he was asking,
but I was hoping to keep the details a secret; technically, I was
telling the truth, but it was only a matter of time before they
asked something more specific.

“You know what I mean.
You're from Wazokana. Somehow, you got all the way here, to Kuma.
That's at least 82 miles, I believe.”

82 miles?! I didn't think
I had it in me to travel that far, in two days, but then again,
nymphs are known for their speed and agility, and I was the fastest
in my country.

“And you were determined
enough to GET here, even with storms raging almost all the time
--”

That's where I've heard
of Kuma. The Kingdom of Storms; how everyone described the area.

“-- and you being a fire
nymph... well, you can see where I'm going,” Tatsuwa said, staring
intensely at me. I had no answer to their unspoken question.

***

I'd been in the castle
for three days now. Nothing had happened, and I was glad that Tenshi
and Tatsuwa were kind enough not to pry. Kietahi hadn't moved before,
but I could feel him coming now. Somehow, he knew where to go,
because he was DEFINITELY on the right track to getting me. Hopefully
HE, and whoever else he brought along, wouldn't be able to get that
far past the everlasting storm.

The storm was really getting
on my nerves. I mean, I was warm, and I had gotten my strength
back, but there was only so much of the rain I could take. I got
up from my perch at the window, and wandered around the building,
hoping to find something to distract myself with. Watching the
rain, knowing I could be dead if I was out there, and worrying about
my situation with HIM was definitely NOT a good way to be spending
my time.

I wandered around aimlessly.
I didn't have a true destination, for I haven't explored the building
as of yet, but hoped to find something to entertain myself with.
Opening another door at random, expecting to see more furniture
and dust, I was shocked to find Tenshi and Tatsuwa. Well, not shocked
at finding them, because I knew they were around the place somewhere,
but shocked at what they were doing. I shut the door quietly, and
quickly vacated the area. I was NOT going to be caught there,
least they think I'm a pervert.

***

A week had passed, four
days from when I saw them. Kietahi was very close to Kuma;
maybe ten miles away from the castle. If he was going at the same
speed as he'd been doing for the past few days, then he'd make it
here in two days, three at most. I had to be ready to defend myself.
I went down to the first floor of the castle, trying to find a
place to train. I finally found a training room; I'd only passed
the door three times before I saw it, but then again, the door WAS
designed to not be seen. Opening the door was kind of complicated,
but I finally figured out the door combination.

Inside the room, there
were mats and punching bags, among other things. I closed the door,
and began training myself. I knew I didn't know much, but I could
improvise what I knew and seen others do.

Stretching my muscles,
I began warming up, gradually getting into a well practiced routine.
I punched, I kicked, I ran, I jumped, and ducked. Then I practiced
my magic. I could do a few fire spells; a fireball, flaming arrow,
and occasionally, breath fire. And, of course, there were the basic
magic spells everyone knew; making light, levitation, a small household
spells -- mending clothes, fixing a broken dish, that sort of thing.
Then there were the thinks other had taught me, which they may
have (probably did) made up. I was working on my levitating when
Tatsuwa walked in. He must have been surprised, but didn't show
it, as I came and attacked him. I needed a sparing partner anyway.

We fought, me struggling
by, and him, acting as if it were nothing. Of course, for him,
it probably wasn't, being a powerful breed and all -- plus there
was the fact that he probably had YEARS on me. An hour went by,
and I was glad I was still able to fight, but then, Tatsuwa WAS
going easy on me, for I could sense his strength, and he was DEFINITELY
stronger than this. I must have been too focused with Tatsuwa,
because Tenshi had tried to hit me from behind, but I caught the
movement in time to dodge. That wasn't fair, two on one, but then,
HE wasn't fair either. So I fought them both, knowing they were
both going easy enough for me to fight back, but hard enough to
help me get in shape.

A few hours had passed,
and I was sweating profusely, but I wasn't going to back down until
I collapsed. At least I hoped I wouldn't. Both men had fought
harder gradually, and I didn't realize it until it was too late.
They were wearing me down, but I knew I was getting better. Finally,
I couldn't take anymore, so I decided to quit; but I couldn't just
stop, or I'd risk getting an injury. So I used Ai's favorite spell,
teleportation. I teleported myself to a bench located near the
east wall. Sitting myself down, I tried to catch my breath as I
watched Tatsuwa and Tenshi's faces. It was priceless! I wanted
to capture the moment forever -- it was just so funny. They didn't
even know where I went. It hurt to keep quiet and watch there confusion,
but I finally took pity on them and called out, telling them where
I was. Then I started laughing, hard.

My laughter finally subsided,
and I looked at them. They looked at me, the question on their
face obvious.

“How'd you do that?!” both
asked in unison.

I winked at them, and replied,
“That's a secret.”

***

The next two days came
quickly, and I knew I'd be as ready as I could be. HE was coming
through the storm now. I wasn't sure how many he came with; most
of them were mindless drones -- golems [5], and sense they weren't
really “alive”, I couldn't sense them.

I watched out the window
of my room. They were there, I could see them. I knew I should
have told my hosts about this, but I hadn't. I needed to tell them;
didn't want them to be hurt on my behalf. So I went to Tenshi's
room, seeing as his was the only room I knew. I approached the
door, and knocked. No answer. I tried again, harder this time.
Still no answer. This was important; I couldn't wait until he
answered the door; HE were coming.

I opened the door, and
saw pretty much the same sight I'd seen the other day; Tenshi and
Tatsuwa, kissing and touching each other, half naked.

“AHEM.”

When they heard me, they
quickly scrambled away from each other, and stared at me in the
doorway.

“Sorry to interrupt, but
it was important... The person after me... he's coming through
the storm now.”

After they heard my statement,
the looked at each other, silently communicating. Then, they turned
back to me, Tenshi asking, “Where?”

“Come on,” I said, as I
turned and walked back to my room, a few doors away.

They followed me, not even
bothering to get dressed. They could tell this was important, and
I was grateful. Once in my room, I walked over to the window.
I pointed THEM out, watching their slow, but steady progress.

I changed into the clothes
I can here in, Tenshi and Tatsuwa changing into their fighting clothes.
I got my sword -- Ai's sword -- and prepared myself for the fight
to come. I'd either end up victorious, or end up dead. I hope
I had it in me to win. Hopefully, with Tenshi and Tatsuwa fighting
on my side, I'll have a fair chance. And maybe, just maybe, I could
win.

They were maybe a few minutes
away at most. We were waiting for them to come. They were close.
Ten... Nine... Eight... Seven... I was afraid... seeing
HIM again, after he tried to.. I froze then, and I was so scared
I'd freeze now. Four... Three... Two... One... Zero.

KABOOM!
HE blew open the door, the rain coming into the clean home, making
the wooden floor wet. Then HE walked in, followed by dozens of
golems. Then SHE came in, pulling someone with her. It was hard
to see the person's face, but I finally got a glimpse. And what
I saw shocked me so much that I almost collapsed.

Kazumeno.... It couldn't
be him! He was suppose to be dead! But his aura told me different.
It was him. That was all I could think about. It was him.
My fiancé... But I couldn't think about that now; it had to wait
until later, when I could deal with this, alone -- in private.

I gathered my strength,
and drew my sword, as I listened to HIM talk.

“You've wasted a lot of
my time by running away, Princess. You shouldn't have
done that.”

“And what?! Let you make
me a slave? To use whenever you wanted until I bled to death?
I wasn't going to let myself become that, and I won't let you take
me alive.” ”Are you so sure about that? I have your fiancé, you
know. He'll die if you don't come with me. Show her, Kage!”

She pulled his head back,
him moaning in pain. He was beaten and bruised, but well enough
to be alive. I locked eyes with him, and could see his determination.
He didn't want me to give in, and I wasn't about to disappoint.

“You see? If you want
to save him, then you'll come willingly. You DO want him to live,
don't you?”

“In your dreams, Kietahi,
in your dreams! I will never back down from you! Not even for
Kaz. He doesn't want me to, and I won't let him die in vain, IF
you kill him that is. I know how you found me now. And without
my precious Kaz, you'd be running around for days! Kill him! See
if I care. Then I can elude you forever! I KNOW you, Kietahi;
I know how you think, and whatever you're planning won't get past
me,” I screamed back, looking him straight in the eyes to make my
point clear.

Seeing my determination,
and that his plan wasn't working, he ordered his golems on me.
Luckily, golems weren't very smart, and we confused them enough
to destroy most of themselves. Of course we knew it wasn't over;
it had just begun.

Kietahi, being the unpatient
demon that he was, got fed up with the golems losing and destroying
themselves, that he ordered Kage on us. A chill went through me
at the thought of fight her. I didn't want to end up like everyone
else... dying by her hand. I knew that this was important, to beat
her at her own game, but I couldn't help but BE scared. After that
order came, she lunged at me, pulling out her sword at the same
time. It was a good think I had taken out my sword earlier, and
quickly blocked the attack. Then we both fought, thrusting and
blocking; dodging and parrying. It was a hard fight, and in sword
fighting, SHE had the advantage, but I had magic on my side, when
she had none. I used that to my advantage, shielding myself multiple
times to avoid deadly wounds, not bothering to shield myself from
small cuts; I couldn't waste my power, for I knew the hardest was
the fight to come. With HIM. I had to reserve my strength.

We fought for what seemed
like hours on end, and I was good enough to land a few almost fatal
wounds. Of course, SHE landed a few hits too, but nothing too serious
and I had my magic to thank for that.

Finally, the fight came
to an end, with Tenshi shredding up her body as if it were nothing.
I was glad he did, for I couldn't take anymore of the fight. I
looked at him, and gave him a silent thank you, which he understood,
and nodded, as if saying, it was nothing.

HE was mad, the angry radiated
off of him in huge waves. He was crushing one of Kaz's arms that
he held in his hand, and stared at me with burning fury.

“You will pay, Princess.
Once I've got you, I'll teach you a lesson you'll NEVER forget.
Just you wait.”

And with that, he attacked.
He almost never fought with his hands, his magic much stronger,
and because I knew that, I was prepared. I raised my sword, and
it quickly absorbed the lighting bolt threw at me. That's what
I hated, now loved, about my sword. When Ai and I used to spar,
she would always use her sword to absorb the magic, and use the
spell on someone else. And now that I had her sword, I could do
the same. I used the spell I took, and shot it back at him, and
he, being too shocked about the lightning bolt disappearing, wasn't
prepared for the attack, and was hit. It didn't injure him fatally,
but it did some damage.

The fight between us went
mostly the same way, but he started to put up a magical shield to
block the incoming attacks. For me, it was just the part of figuring
WHERE he was aiming and catch the spell before it hit me. He was
rapidly wearing himself out, and I was just waiting for the right
moment to attack. Finally, I could feel a definite drain of his
power, and attacked him head on with my magic. It was almost too
easy, the way I beat him, but I did. He vanished without a trace,
and I wondered if I really DID beat him. But I couldn't think about
it. I had to help my Kazumeno.

After the fight, I fixed
Kazumeno's arm, and Tatsuwa bandaged the worst of his injuries.
I was so happy the fight was over, but it seem WAY too easy. I
couldn't have won that easily, could I?

“Remula... I can't believe
we're here, together. Love you,” Kaz said, interrupting my thoughts.

“Love you too, Kaz, love
you too,” I replied as I gave him a hug.

I looked up, feeling eyes
on us, and saw Tatsuwa and Tenshi standing there. Tatsuwa stepped
forward, and stared at Kazumeno. I wondered what was so interesting,
until he said, “You look like my brother...” Then I knew where
I'd seen him before. I thought he looked fimiliar, and now I know
where. I'd seen him in a picture Kaz had with him the first time
I met him.

Life was fine now, and
although we (Kaz and I) were stuck in the castle because of the
rain, we were okay being there. Kaz had is brother, and I had my
fiancé and my new found friends. But I couldn't help wondering
if HE was just messing with my mind, and would still be after me...
but I'm probably just being paranoid.

Far away, in an unknown
land, Kietahi was recovering from his wounds. And he laughed, a
crazed laugh, as he thought about his Princess. 'Yes,
I will get you, my Princess, and then you'll want nothing
else.' He had the most devilish look on his face. “Soon, Princess,
soon, I will have you by my side as we rule the world... MAHAHAHAHAHAHA!”
