First period, I had a test. -_- I forgot what "empezar" meant when I was doing the test, so I already got some questions wrong for that. -_- Oh well...
Second period, we went to the auditorium to do our speeches and stuff. Before we left, Allister was like "Good luck" in a "you're-not-really-gonna-win-but-I'm-trying-to-be-nice" voice. -_- Whatever.
We got survey cards that we gotta turn in to get our School ID. Then it was time for speeches. First were the people running for President. Allister went up first -- lots of people were shouting for him and all... his speech was... ehh.. He said that if "you had any complains about the teachers", that he'd go and "talk to them to make it easier for you", etc... =P He also said that he's just an "average guy" and that he "didn't get a 4.0, but I work hard", etc...
Next came Curneshia. She said that she had been president twice so she knows what's expected...
Third was Mike. Lots of clapping ensues. =P He was like, "how can I compete with Curneshia... she's got two years on me, but if you vote for me, I'll try my best", etc...
Then it was me. For, like, the first couple of seconds, no one clapped, but then they did. I was thinking, "My speech is too long! What if people get bored?!" but I went up there. I put my speech down on the podium, and starred at it for a few seconds. Then I looked up and I was thinking, "I can't fucking DO this! x_x I'm gonna DIE!~", but I started doing my speech. O_O I heard my voice shaking... I was so fucking SCARED~! *faints* It was the most nerve-racking think EVER!~ To go up in front of all these people you KNOW and talk... O_O But I did it. And after I was done, I was so HAPPY~! I mean, I felt so good that people were clapping for me and everything. There were even people shouting my name! *shock* It was TOTALLY the best feeling in the world! *grin* Not to mention that the other people didn't have speeches, so mine TOTALLY looked good compared to theirs! And they CAN'T counter THAT 'cause I was the last one for prez. ^_~
Next, it was time for the VPs. Most of them were saying how they couldn't promise anything and whatever... After everyone's speech, when it was time to clap, someone in the back kept shouting my name. I kept looking to figure out who it was, but I couldn't...
Then it was time for the treasurers. Tito went first... I can't remember what he said. One guy rambled on and on....
After that, it was time for secretary -- Tuan went first and his speech was short and okay. Next it was time for Luz. She just said that her name was Luz and that she feels that she's qualified for that position and that's it.
Once the secretaries finished, we had to go back to Eric cause Myers didn't call him cause he thought Eric dropped out. Eric did his speech and at the end, he was like, Vote for Allister, Elio... and then Myers and Ms. Rufsvold told him to go sit down.
Next were the Student Rep guys. I can't really remember what they said either. =P All I remember were people saying "Vote for the Chintz!" etc... Chintz would be Robert, FYI cause he always uses that word. =P
Last, was the Safety Rep peoples. They were all talking about safety and all that... you know.
After all that, Myers was like, "Vote for the person who's best for the job, not your friend!" and then they passed out the ballots while people shouted people's names and stuff...
When we were done, Myers excused his class to go back. I walked out with Tito and C.J. They said they voted for me. *happy*
At lunch, Mr. Hillegas saw me, and said that he liked how I said that I was quiet, but that meant that I was a better listener because it was true and all that.
Third period, we talked about the documents we were suppose to read... Then got some papers back.
Fourth period, people asked who won. Fearnow wouldn't answer until the bell rang and between that, someone was like, "There was a tie, wasn't there?" and stuff. Fearnow didn't answer, so people were like, "There is!" and people speculated about who the tied people could be. I thought that it was probably a tie between Allister and Mike cause they're popular and all that. I didn't think I could be in it AT ALL! I mean, who the hell am I anyway? Most people didn't even know I was running until I went up and gave my speech! Anyway, the bell finally rang, and Fearnow said that because so many people voted for more than one person, that their votes were ripped up and that made there be a tie for President and for Safety Representative. O_O
Fearnow was like, "For president, it's between... Allister," and people started cheering for him, "...and... Helen!" and a lot of people started cheering for me! O_O I was thinking, WTF?! How could that be?! O_O People were like, it's good that they're in the same class. -_- Then he said that for Safety Rep, it was between Miguel -- clam clapping, Angela - clapping-ish, and Edmon -- more cheers. Then we got our ballots and voted again. Mark, like the first time, checked them all. =P
We did a worksheet in that class. Others had to finish/redo their work from yesterday.
They said that the results were suppose to be in at the end of the period, but it wasn't. -_- Some people said that they'd go to the office and demand to know. I hope they did, cause I wanna know the results too.. but I kinda don't, cause I still think I don't really have a chance at winning... Not to mention that it was fucked up how they didn't tell who won for the other positions! That's mean! >_<
So yeah... gotta wait til Monday, unless someone else got the news... I hope that they did and someone comes online to tell me! Even if it's bad news!
