Calculus Camp
Apr. 12th, 2006 09:43 pmSo I just came back today from Calculus Camp. Lemme just say that OMG that was SOOOOOOO horrible, lol. I mean, there were some okay times, but seriously.. I'm sure no one would want to experience it if they had the choice. x_x
MONDAY
Woke up around 6:00 'cause I had to finish a scholarship.. Finished that, ate, and then made sure I had everything to go. Around 9:30 or so, my dad took me to school and then waited for people to show up. People came.. Ms. Lee was the last one to show.. Around 11:00 or so, the bus came. We thought it'd just be a regular school bus, but it was a charter bus! =O Had to bring out all the food stuff from the SCT Lounge and then load that and our junk into the bus. After that, got on and then headed up to Julian.
On the bus ride, I was just reading some magazine that Selassie gave me.. Then later, was looking at the scenery, lol. Everyone else seemed to be sleeping or watching the movie ((Air Bud, I think it was)). Finally, around 12:50 or whatever, got there. Had to unload all the stuff and brought it into the cabin. The place looked okay, I guess.. I dunno. Had to move the stuff around and all.. Just settled in and stuff. The weathe was all windy and cloudy.. XD
At 2:00, we started on our first test. Yes, a full-length AP test. OMFG four freakin' hours.. Thank goodness there's the ten minute break between the multiple choice and written response sections.. After that, it was about 6:00 and then we had dinner. Ate sphgetti. XD After that, I was pretty full.. At 7:00, had test corrections for two freakin' hours.. OMG, so boring! And, there were SNACKS. As if we didn't eat enough dinner, there was junk food out. x_x BLAHH! And it had to be near me so I'd be tempted. ;_; Gosh darn it! But yeah.. Test corrections were SO FREAKIN' BORING. Just going over the problems and stuff.. Geez! Finished that and then had to do half of a test.. meaning one multiple choice section and one written response section.. Curfew was set for 1:00. Me, Selassie, and Lauren were in bed by 11:30, but it was SO HARD TO SLEEP! 'Cause everyone else ((there were 12 students, 14 people total)) was outside in the living room talking and stuff. ((Girls slept in the bedroom, guys slept in the living room.)) There was really no point in going to bed that early anyway 'cause when 1:00 rolled around, all the other girls filed in, making all this noise and stuff.. They were whispering and talking and stuff.. It's like, HELLO! People trying to sleep! x_x But yeah.. In the end, they didn't know how to turn on the heat so it was cold ((it was raining outside and stuff)) and I couldn't sleep at all. x_x
TUESDAY
Because I couldn't sleep, I was wide awake ((since I was mostly half asleep or whatever)) whenever someone moved and when people in the room started getting up. It also didn't help that people's cell phones kept going off! >O But yeah.. Got up around 6:45 or so 'cause I didn't want to wait forever for the bathroom, but I ended up kinda anyway since everyone was crowding and all.. There was only one restroom, so yeah.. People were all crowding around the sink and stuff.. BLEH!
Finished getting ready around 7:25-ish.. Went out and ate and stuff.. Had toast, eggs, hash browns, cereal, and a pop tart. No, I didn't eat a lot of each, haha. After that, at about 8:00-ish, started our next test. Two hours, snack, then two more hours... BLAH! I think that people were giving up and stuff.. 'cause like, since everyone was tired and stuff, after they finished each section, they'd either go over to the couches or the bedroom and sleep. And it's like, how can you finish so fast?! 'Cause people were gone after like 15-20 minutes.. But whatevz. After the test, it was about 12:00 or so and we had lunch -- sandwiches. After I was done eating, me andbobbleheadvi went exploring around a little.. At 1:00-ish, had test corrections for two hours ((well, we started a bit early, so we ended a bit early)) and then went to downtown Julian.
Only had about 30 minutes there.. Just walked around.. There's like nothing there.. Bought some candy 'cause I was walking with Selassie and stuff and she was buying some so I decided to buy some too.. After that, went to the pie place since that's where we were suppose to meet.. Ate a slice of pie 'cause Ms. Lee bought one and was sharing ((though most people didn't take her offer)).. After that, walked back to the cabin and, surprise, surprise, took another test! =O Four hours later, at about 8:00, had dinner. There was pizza and sandwiches.. I ate a small slice of pizza and a sandwich.. After that, had test corrections until about 11:00.
After we were done, Ms. Lee wanted everyone over on the other side of the living room to "play a game" where we were suppose to tell our most embarassing moment or whatevz. She wouldn't let anyone go. x_x But yeah.. people told stories.. I didn't tell one..bobbleheadvi told the story about "the Cookie Monster".. Dang told a story about walking into a glass door, hahaha. Ms. Lee told a very.. EWW story, lol. Mr. Stubbs was the winner with his story about being beat up by a girl ((who he thought was cute))'s older sister when he was in elementary (('cause he picked on the girl)).
Finally, at about 11:30, Ms. Lee let us go.. Selassie took a shower first, then I went.. After that, got ready for bed, then went to sleep around 12:30 or whatever. The heater was on and it was so hot.. x_x But yeah.. Had a better sleep than last night. The problem with it was the heat. OMFG, I woke up in the middle of the night to go to the restroom and I was suffocating! I told someone to turn down the heat since they were just coming into the room, but I don't think they turned it down enough 'cause I was still dying. x_x BLAH!
WEDNESDAY
When I woke up, it was still hot.. I was up at about 6:30-ish, but I was like, 'Oh, I'll just rest a little longer' and stuff.. Somehow that turned to 7:25 and yeah. x_x Was waiting forEVER for just to get to the sink in the bathroom.. Was done and got to the table at about 7:45.. Just had juice and a pop tart.. After that, at 8:00, took the other half of the test from Monday. Two hours later, had test corrections, then had lunch. After lunch, cleaned and packed and stuff, then just had free time. People were playing football.. sitting on the swings.. Blah, blah.. Watched the football game for a while, then we had to go take pictures.. Did that, then read a magazine from Selassie.
At about 2:00 something, the bus came. Loaded up the bus then went on and went back to school.. I was kinda sleeping in there, but I dunno.. Kept waking up since the road was all windy and stuff.. x_x Got to school at about 4:05-ish.. Unloaded the bus then waited around to get picked up. I was the last one there.. BLAH! Oh wellz..
Welpz.. That's about it. I dunno what else to say.. I'm so tired now.. BLAH! Imma sleep forever tomorrow.. x_x

MONDAY
