- Was today as long for you as it was for me? Because it felt SUPER LONG! I basically spent a million years marking where I will drill holes for the dowel pins today. It pretty much sucked. Also, my professor came to me and said he was going to suggest a change for my Vellum design, but "it's probably too late" and I just looked at him with an "Uhh, yeah" look because dude, I already cut all my pieces! He should have come to me with his suggestion on WEDNESDAY before I cut everything! -_-
- After thinking all day about the million holes I have to drill, I was like, "They must make a guide or jig or something for this!" and after googling, I found out they were called doweling jigs and it is obviously absolutely vital for my project because I have way too many holes to drill without getting one. Anyway, I got Teresa and Jeff to take me with them to Home Depot earlier and of course Home Depot only has this lame doweling jig kit thing and the jig itself doesn't look like it'll that good of a jig, but beggars can't be choosers, I guess. I'm just annoyed though because the kit was $30 and with $30, I probably could have gotten a WAY BETTER JIG online, but it wouldn't get here in time. x_x (SO ANNOYING!) Anyway, this stupid kit has some dowel pins in it and also drill bits and a few other random things, so I was like, might as well just buy a drill also since the cheapest drill is $30 and drills are always useful, right? IDK, whatever, I have one now, LOL. Also got spray paint for my bookshelf! I stood in front of the tiny green selection for a long time just staring because they didn't really have the awesome green that I wanted. =( I kind of liked the Sage one or whatever it was called, but it looked kind of dull and Teresa said so too, so I decided on Key Lime (AKA the brightest one there) because it was the closest to the color I was hoping for. =/ I'm just hoping it comes out way more vibrant than the cap color or else I'll just be super sad, lol. I got the white primer spray paint also since I'm not sure how well paint sticks onto MDF, so better safe than sorry, lol. XP If I was a smarter person, I would have gotten sandpaper as well, but yeah, did not occur to me at the time. x_x
I also want to say that my arms are super sore today, lol. In the morning I woke up all stiff and stuff and it took me a while to figure out why, lol. (Though I suppose it should have been obvious, but I was too tired to remember my intense workout yesterday. XP
Anyway, I feel tomorrow will be an AWESOME DAY, full of me sitting around studio drilling the crap out my shelving pieces! (I hope not too many people are there b/c I'm kind of lazy and want to drill inside and I don't want to annoy anyone with the mess, lol.) I will attempt to wake up early so I can make myself food to bring for an awesome day of awesomeness. I mean, who wouldn't want to be at school all day on a Saturday?! XD
