Bookshelf progress! ♥

First coat of paint!~ ♥
Yeah, I totally ran out of paint, so only the inside portion is done. Still need to paint the outside, sand it, and put on a second coat. (Also, the base part is missing and needs to be recut and attached, but yeah, haha.) It was super hard to paint b/c some of the spaces are so close together and I have paint all over my hands/arms, lol. And also, the paintbrush handle kept hitting into the pieces on the opposite site and messing up the paint on that side (since it was still wet). So ridiculous.
I kind of thought the green would be a little darker based on the little swatch thing, but when I put the paper next to the shelf, it actually is the same color, lol. I'm happy with it anyway though, it is a bomb-ass green. ♥♥♥
But yeah, isn't it awesome?! I think it's awesome, LOL, but then again, it's my bookshelf. XP Also, people were giving me some attitude (semi-jokingly?) about the fact that I wanted to paint it green a few weeks ago, but whatever, they will obviously come around to my side and see the awesome tomorrow when they come into studio! XP
Seriously, I'm so excited to almost be done with this! And I'm glad it actually looks pretty good too. XD I kind of have doubts about how strong it actually is though, LOL, so I don't think I will be putting too many books on it. It's kind of sad because OMG SO MUCH SPACE FOR BOOKS, but I'd rather not break it since I'm pretty proud of the fact that I actually built something cool. XP
I think I'm gonna head out of studio now. I kinda wish I could get some of my papers written tonight, but I am tired and I probably won't get to it. =/ Also, I feel slightly fic-deprived, LOL, so I might end up reading a little before sleeping later, LOL. I know I haven't posted any recs in a while (because I haven't had the chance to read in a while!), but hopefully I can get back on that sometime this week or the weekend for sure.
