The rest of my day.. Joys of joys.

remulaSo I did nothing during my break but read fics. So productive I am, huh? After that, had to go to class even though I was dead tired. Got to math and was trying to take notes and I thought I kinda got it, but apparently not 'cause I was struggling with the homework. x_x
After math, went to English class. Got our thesis paper back, talked about that for a bit, then talked about the reading and yeah.. That's basically all we did. Then we could leave, but the people with checks on their papers had to stay, and I had one, so yeah. Waited 'cause I'm nice and then I was the second to last person to talk to him. He basically said I should focus on the nature and the content of the holidays and how they've changed because of commercialism. Then I said I was thinking about switching to the other side and talking about why commercialism can be beneficial and the attitude and stuff that the teacher and the other guy in the class gave me was so.. ARGH! Made me kinda mad 'cause it was scoffing and basically blowing off the idea that it could be good, you know? And it's like, what did they expect me to put as my counter-arguments if there's obviously nothing good about commercializing the holidays? Fuckin' asses. I walked out of there wanting to write that paper JUST BECAUSE they were being asses about the fact that I'm going against the grain and whatnot. I mean, WTF? Do they not think I can argue it? 'Cause, seriously, the only difference I see with changing my thesis is that all my counters are now my argument and all my arguments are now counters. But whatever.. I've come with with a few good points for this essay and I'm gonna submit a new claim on Wednesday and I'll write this dumb essay and it'll be fuckin' amazing. ...Or not, but at least I will have tried and challenged myself and it'll be like I actually LIKE writing again because this is more my style, where I'm interested and I have to work for it, instead of just writing because I have to write for a teacher I hate with a passion.
Came back home after classes and started doing math homework. Around 5:00, went to eat dinner, then came back and worked more on math. Around 7:40-ish, gave up on math and then went and figured out the pieces I need to cut tomorrow for my archival box. That took a while 'cause I had to actually think about the sizes and if they'll even fit together. x_x BLEHHH!~
After that, tried to do some more research for my essay. It's pretty hard 'cause people don't really seem to want to talk about why commercialism can be good, haha. ^_^;; Oh well. I'm determined to go with this viewpoint. So far, I've only found one article about the positive aspect, but it's an opinion article, but whatever. I guess I might use that to make my four sources. Hopefully I can come up with more later on, but right now, this is what I'll have to work with. I think I'm gonna shower after I finish this entry, then come back and work on my English essay. Gonna write as much as possible.. Since I changed my thesis, I probably won't be able to finish my body paragraphs, but I want to get at least the basic skeleton done, then flesh it out with facts and stuff after I get all my thoughts and stuff on the screen..
Gonna shower now, so I actually have some time to write my essay. Determined to sleep around 11:00 today so I won't wake up late again..
