So yesterday around 3:40PM, the power went out. We called our parents and apparently their power went out at work as well, so that's how we figured it was out all over San Diego. Sadly we were woefully unprepared because we don't have internet on our phones and we don't have a radio, so we couldn't really get any news. Then we realized that
aznearthdragon and our brother had radio on their Zune/Sansa, so we used that to get news, lol. Later, we went outside to walk around since it was dark and there was nothing to do and then ended up watching news over at our next-door neighbor's garage because they powered it with their car. Later, we got bored and went back home to listen to music and the radio on the brother's Zune. Basically we are very dependent on electricity and life was very boring, especially when it started to get dark and you can't really do anything. x_x
The power came back on around 3AM and we woke up at 6AM because our brother's school called to remind us there wasn't school today. We watched the news for a while, then went back to sleep (because it was too early!) and yeah. We had to throw out a bunch of food from the fridge earlier which pretty much sucked because we had just bought some of that stuff. x_x Anyway, in case you were affected and don't know what to throw out, here's the list from the USDA (gotta scroll down a bit).
