remula | My Dream and some Inception (what else?) (Reply)

So this morning, aznearthdragon woke me up because, apparently, I started laughing while I was sleeping, LOL. Seriously, she shook my shoulder and I woke up mid-laugh which just made me burst out laughing even more! Seriously, my dream, it isn't as funny now in hindsight, but it was so hilarious at the time, okay?!

I can't remember all of it anymore (you know how dreams are), but I know that the beginning part of my dream featured Inception characters and somehow lead to me to staying up late at night (which pretty much happens in real life, LOL) and then the next day, I woke up late! And then my friend Teresa was there (she called me yesterday) and we were both like, "OMG, WE'RE GONNA BE LATE! GAHHH!" and we were apparently heading to school which somehow involved us having to head to the airport? And we were running around the house (except it wasn't really either of our houses) trying to find all our stuff and then, when we were finally done getting all our stuff packed, for some weird reason that I can't remember, we had to wear heels instead of regular shoes! (Yesterday, I went shoe shopping -- I was totally checking out a bunch of heels, LOL!)

So we rushed out the door and I don't remember how we got there, but like a minute later, we were at the airport. And, of course, being at the airport involved us getting stuck in this ridiculously long line and we were like, "OMG, HURRY UP! WE NEED TO GET TO SCHOOL!!!" and then after being in line forever, we got to the front counter and there was some pretty black lady with these white plastic frame glasses who I have never met in my life (and probably can't pick her out of a line-up now that I'm awake), but yeah, lol, she was behind the counter and some stuff happened that I can't remember, but afterwards we were finally let through. And then we were on our way to school.

Now, I know I said we were at the airport, but in my dream, apparently you have to go through the airport to get onto the freeway, so really, it wasn't even an airport because there weren't any airplanes, just a bridge thing that took you to the freeway! And so we got onto the freeway and we were like, "OMG, DO YOU SEE ALL THAT CONGESTION?! WHY DOES EVERYONE HAVE TO BE ON THE ROADS WHEN WE NEED TO BE?! HOW ARE WE GONNA MAKE IT ON TIME?!?!" and we started running! Apparently in this dream, "driving" pretty much means "running" -- I mean, when we were having that congestion freakout, we were in a car? Maybe? And we saw all the cars on the road, but then we were started driving, we were suddenly running instead. (Was suppose to wake up early this morning to go walking/running with parents, but that did not happen...)

Anyway, so there we were running down the freeway because we were trying to get to school and then a little further along, we run into some people I know from CSI (Construction Specifications Institute, not Crime Scene Investigation, people! They were from, like, Fresno chapter and LA chaper, LOL.) And yeah, most of the people I know in CSI are, like, older folks, so they were running kind of slow, okay? And so we decided to go over and say hi to them and we did some small talk stuff and yeah. (Yesterday, when Teresa called me, we talked about CSI.) Then when we were about to continue going at the faster speed we were at before, one of the ladies in the CSI group was like, "OMG, how are you driving in heels?!"

If you remember from before, I said we left the house in heels for some reason -- yeah, this is relating back to that, LOL. They were like, some three-inch heels and we were like, "Oh yeah, because blah blah blah" -- I still can't remember the explanation for the heels, but I know it has to be something super ridiculous. XP And then we were off and weaving between cars and people and stuff and we ran across some other people from school and kinda "drove" with them a little before Teresa was like, "Come on, we need to speed up!" and then she totally ran ahead and I was thinking, "OMG, running in heels is ridiculous!" but I sped up to catch up to her and then we finally made it there and we had to cross a bridge again to get to the other airport.

So there we were in line again to exit the airport and get on our way to school and somehow, aznearthdragon was in front of us in line, so she got to the counter first and who was behind the counter but that same lady as before! And for some reason, counter lady asks everyone a question which you have to answer before you can be on your way. And I was standing around with people from school in line and we hear the question to aznearthdragon, which was, "What are hallways for?"

We couldn't hear aznearthdragon's answer, but all the people around me were llike, "OMG, WHAT ARE HALLWAYS FOR?!?!?!" with much confusion and these are, like, architecture people who are in my classes and they were all confused about the purpose of hallways! And then I got all frustrated with everyone's dense-ness and I was like, "OMG GUYS! EGRESS! CIRCULATION, HELLO!!!" and everyone was like, "oOo!!!" and I wanted to smack them all, LOL.

Then it was like, my turn to go up to the counter and for some reason, all those other architecture peepz decided to go up to the counter with me and then the lady was like, "Oh, well since we already know you know the answer..." at me and then turned to the person next to me and was like, "Where do you want to go on vacation?" (Seriously! What kind of question is this?!) And dude next to me was like, "Gloria" -- I don't even know if Gloria is a real place, LOL, but yeah, I'm sure this answer was from aznearthdragon and my brother because we have this stuffed hippo downstairs that sits on the couch and we (they) named it Gloria and yesterday, aznearthdragon was talking about Gloria a lot. XP

Anyway, so dude says he wants to go to Gloria and then the lady behind the counter turned to next person and asked "Where do you want to go on vacation?" and person said "Gloria" also! And at this point, I was thinking, "OMG WTF are they copying dude's answer?!" And then she asked the third person and for some reason, the third person was actually some girl I know from school who's name is Gloria and she's kind of one of those people who always talks like they know the answers, right? And her answer was also "Gloria" and seriously, I don't know, it definitely not that funny in hindsight, but it was super funny at the time, okay?! I just bursted out laughing and then suddenly I was waking up mid-laugh! And there was a split-second of "OMG WHAT AM I LAUGHING AT?!" and then I remembered Gloria and I just laughed harder, IDK!

Yeah, so not that was my dream, lol. It probably just sounds stupid and weird, but seriously! I love how, in dreams, you can almost always pin-point where all the different elements come from based on what you did the day before. XP

(Cue awkward somewhat related (only not really) segue into next item of discussion...)

The other day when I was trying to fall alseep, I was thinking about how much I want a parallel universe Inception fic where Arthur and Eames are together and Mal is alive and real!Arthur or real!Eames wake up one day in the parallel universe and then I totally forgot about it the next day until I read liketheroad's post where she summarizes her universeswap fic idea and OMG, I need this fic in my life!!! And like, I would totally be down for a million of these fics because OMG SO AWESOME, so please be writing this, writer-people and please be linking me to these types of fics if they already exist!

I have a bazillion tabs open of Inception fics I need to read and I keep thinking to myself that I will never catch up! Like, I don't even have a life right now since it's summer and I have no job and all I do all day is sit around reading fics, so I can't even imagine how hard it is to keep up for other people who actually have lives. @_@ But anyway, here is my Inception recs page in case you want it (though I'm sure anyone who reads my posts have already stumbled upon it (what with all my fic rec tweets, lol).

Mal, after the fall. This is pretty much the Mal fic I'd been waiting for since I watched the movie.

[Arthur/Ariadne] seimaisin – Walking On My Skin Again
Ariadne-centered fic in which she grows and finds herself, with a bit of Arthur/Ariadne on the side. Pretty much the Ariadne fic I'd been wanting.

[Gen] lanyon – The Cold Side of the Pillow
Very intricate and layered fic that intertwines so many different narratives seamlessly.

[Arthur/Mal/Dom, Arthur/Eames] liketheroad – The Democracy of Sleep
In which Arthur loves Dom and Mal, despite knowing he will never be a half of their whole. Also in which Eames exhibits admirable patience while waiting for Arthur to realize he has options other than spending his whole life loving two people who can never love him back.

There should probably be more fics on that list, but I don't like when "NEED TO READ NO MATTER WHAT" lists to get too big, so I try and limit myself. XP
Lastly, Faith, Blood, and Hope: Cobb/Saito Picspam and Pairing Manifesto -- If you have not seen this, please be on your way because Cobb/Saito is SO OTP, OKAY?! ♥
