Long post is long, LOL.

- Morning Thesis Class, or How Inception just incepts its way into RL. XP
Today is Friday and I'm sure we all know what I think about Fridays! But yeah, today the class met downtown at a cafe this morning, I suppose to break the monotony of nine straight hours sitting around in studio. Anyway, once everyone got there, Killing broke us up into groups of three, matching us up by our project types, lol. Honestly, once he started calling the groups, I just knew who my group was going to be (Nathan and Blake) and lo and behold, when he finally got around to naming the last group, it was Nathan, Blake, and me! It's kind of funny because I just asked Nathan yesterday what he was doing for his thesis and I sit across from Blake, so we just talked about his stuff on Wednesday, so yeah, there was absolutely no surprise to me, LOL. And, of course, both of them knew what my project was (airport), but they hadn't talked to each other, so it was SUPER FUNNY when we started talking.
Blake went first and he was talking about downtown Fresno and then he started talking about the high speed rail and Nathan was totally getting this look on his face, LOL, and then Blake was getting to the part where he was like, saying he wanted to design a station or whatever, and Nathan seriously interrupted him and was all, "I will cut you if you say 'transportation hub'!" or something to that effect and I was LOLing SO MUCH, seriously! Because Nathan is ALSO doing a transportation hub that also involves the high speed rail, though his is down in Riverside. But yeah, essentially the same idea and it was just hilarious. XP (I fear I left Blake to go in that direction because last week I was all like, "Maybe I'll do an airport!" and Blake was like, "OMG WHAT!" because he was thinking that too and I was like, "NoOoOo!~ You can't! We sit across from each other!~" and D-facing at him, LOLOL.)
Anyway, so we were kind of brainstorming about Blake's project and trying to come up with ways to make his project more of a destination and stuff like that and Nathan was totally coming up with all these ideas and then he would realize he liked those ideas and be like, "Ohz noz! I want to do that in my project!" and I love my group, really. It was so entertaining. XD Anyway, somehow wine tasting came up and then Nathan came up with this brilliant idea and was all like, "Oh hey! You should make a wine gallery!" and "Is that even a thing? A wine gallery?" and "OMG, that would be so awesome!" and he was so enamored with that wine gallery idea that he was all, "I take it back! I want to have a wine gallery!~"
And somehow all of this lead to Nathan saying that Blake was incepted! Because obviously the whole transportation hub was Nathan's idea and he also gave him the awesome wine gallery idea and "Obviously we had to go down five levels to plant it because it is just that awesome" and "[Remula] was my architect! She did such a good job with all the details, you didn't even know it was a dream!" and seriously, I was DYING from this whole conversation, LOLOLOL! It's A+++ conversations like this make early morning classes on Fridays bearable. XP
Anyway, we also talked about my project (I won't go into more detail because this section is getting long, lol, but I feel like it's slowly coming together pretty well!) and Nathan's project, quickly figured out our presenting logistics, then split for the morning. - Studio and Even MORE Thesis Stuff
After splitting with my group, I went over to join Tara's group since they were still talking and Tara was my ride, lol. After they finished up, her group and I decided to go get lunch because we were hungry, so we went to Chipotle and yeah. Her groupmates were also awesome -- I'm seriously so happy with my studio, guys. Pretty much everyone is awesome. XP
Anyway, we had presentations all afternoon, basically going through everyone's thesis project ideas. The catch was that we had to each present someone else's project and then discuss the similarities and differences between our projects in our group. Although it was pretty long (as presentations tend to be), it was cool hearing about everyone's thesis ideas because we're pretty much all over the place in our studio. I mean, there's so many different project types and scales, from residences to community centers to skyscrapers and transportation hubs. Smallest scale is probably the person doing emergency disaster shelters and the largest scale is definitely my airport development. @_@
I would just like to take the time to thank myself for choosing such an intense project -- really, self, it's like I want to torture myself with how much work this will be! (But really, I'm pretty excited for my project! Just the overall scale and scope of my project though, IT'S SO DAUNTING!) DDD:
And now, for something completely different... - Project Runway!
You know I have to do this because there's no one here for me to talk to about this show! Anyway, this episode! It was sweet but super dramatic! Like, I was sitting in my living room watching and my roommates were sitting across the room on the floor and about half way through the first half, one of my roommates was all like, "What is this? Are you watching a drama or a show? Because I thought you said you were watching Project Runway!" But yeah, Christopher and his partner -- they are such a cute couple, LOL. But OMG MONDOOOO! Seriously, he broke my heart! I can't even imagine what he had to go through and then having to keeping everything secret for so long! And when he said that he didn't want to tell his mom because he didn't want to ruin the moment for his mom -- OMG! ;_;
I will now go through my opinion on everyone's outfits because the judges did this week!- Gretchen -- UGH, GRETCHEN! Her print was pretty, but I don't really like that shirt AT ALL, especially the way the print was laid out on that shirt. Seriously, WTF is that! The pants were okay, but OMG that sunbonnet shape on the butt part -- SO MUCH EWW! And Nina Garcia, WTF saying you expected more from Gretchen? Her stuff looks pretty lame every week -- this was actually an okay week for her, IMO!
- Michael C. -- His dress looks okay, but I agree that the styling could have been better. The best part of his crit was when Michael Kors said, "It looks funny, like a joke" -- just that "like a joke" part, IDK, it totally made me crack up, LOLOLOL.
- Christopher -- I think his outfit was pretty cute! I know all the judges said that it was boring and safe, but whatever, I like it. Anyway, the best (worst?) part of his crit was after Chris defended his design to Heidi, she was like, "I'm not sitting in my jeans and t-shirt" or whatever and I almost died because jeans and a t-shirt would be a million times better than that WTF outfit she's wearing! (Seriously, what is that outfit?! SO RIDICULOUS!) And then there was also the part where Heidi was yelling "Memorable! Memorable!" and I was thinking, "Dude, you're outfit is memorable! In the 'OMG SO FUGLY' way!"
- Andy -- That shirt was so disgusting! The print was nice, but OMG, that shirt! Just the way the boob area fits and the pleats, OMG, makes her look so fat! ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE!!!
- April -- The print was really nice (even if it kind of reminds me of that one The Used album cover, lol). And the dress, it's pretty cute! Except for the weird poofy part on part of the skirt -- IDK, it was kinda of meeh.
- Valerie -- That top was so gross! The skirt was cute, but it did kinda look like her napkin dress. But yeah, I don't think she deserved to get kicked out this week! Like, it should have been Andy based purely on outfits! But I can see where the judges are coming from since she hasn't been doing so hot lately. =/
- Mondo -- First off, his hairdo! He's just so cute and endearing!!! And the outfit, it's so cute! I mean, I wouldn't want to wear pants that go up to my boobs, but just the overall look was awesome. And then when he told the symbolism behind the fabric, OMG, I totally started crying! ;_;
But yeah, OMFG GRETCHEN, JUST STOP TALKING! When she, "I feel really grateful to have been able to be here and take part in you opening the way you did," I just wanted to punch her! I mean, dude, you didn't take part in anything! GTFO bitch! Also, preview for next episode, when Gretchen threw her outfit? Made me LOL SO HARD! Please get cut next week, Gretchen! Your time to go has been long overdue!
There is actually a bonfire going on tonight (right now!) with a bunch of architecture people, but I decided on not going because I'm lazy and I seriously need a Friday off, lol. Am I lame? A little. Do I regret not going? Not really, LOL. I'd rather sit around catching up on my two TV shows and reading fic anyway, haha. (Oh man, I don't think I've read anything today! This is a travesty and should be remedied immediately!)
