So yesterday was a super long day filled with class all day and then a roommates dinner at my roommate's boyfriend's apartment (which definitely lasted was past dinner, obviously), so I didn't have much time to do much of anything. Anyway, here's a little catch up of yesterday's highlights!
Now I am going to continue procrastinating for the next hour and read some more from
bookshop's awesome fluff fest post (SO MANY PAGES OF AWESOME AND I AM ONLY ON PAGE FOUR!) before I start cracking down on doing homework-type stuff. XP
- PROJECT RUNWAY
I feel like I am kind of rehashing my tweets on this, but whatever, this is my journal, I can do what I want!
So yesterday, my professor had to leave early in studio and then, of course, everyone who didn't leave was just sitting around chilling or whatever, so I was like, "Hey, need to catch up on Project Runway!" so I probably annoyed everyone who was still there (about half of the class, so maybe 6-8 people) by having my volume up and watching Project Runway because I didn't have my headphones with me. (Whatever, if they really minded, they would have told me to turn it down, right?! XP) So there I was watching and I swear some of the guys who were across the room from me were probably over there snickering at the crap I was watching because everytime I looked up at a super drama-filled part, they were, like, looking over at me and making faces, LOLOL. But yeah, especially at the whole Ivy VS Michael C. drama -- OMGGGG! It's like they're all in middle school with the bitchiness and Ivy going around to everyone and stirring up the fire! Get over it, Ivy! That challenge she was bitching about was, like, ten million years ago in reality TV time!
But besides that, let's talk about Heidi's personal line! WHAT THE FUCK WAS THAT?! Like, when Heidi brought out the models to show off the style of the line, I was SO DISGUSTED because WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK! Everything in that line was HORRIBLE -- I would NOT spend ~$150 on anything in that line! And then when Heidi was in the workroom! She was such a bitch when she was talking to Mondo -- I mean, I didn't really like what Mondo was doing at that time, but still! There was probably a better way to handle that than the way that she did. -_-
Let's move on to the judging! How happy was I when Gretchen ended up in the bottom? SO FUCKING HAPPY! The only way I would have been happier is if she actually got kicked out -- seriously, WHY WON'T SHE GET KICKED OUT ALREADY?! I'm so sad that Christopher had to go because I really liked him! But his clothes were pretty bad... And then the top! Dude, Mondo should have won! I know there were a few weird things with his outfits that the judges pointed out (and I mostly agreed with), but I thought his stuff would have added so much to Heidi's lame-ass line! I mean, Andy's stuff was pretty awesome, but I just liked Mondo's outfits more.
So yeah, it was basically the end of the episode and my roommate was like, "Ready to go?" and then I was packing up my crap while she went to the restroom and I was waiting for the preview and then MY PROFESSOR CAME BACK! And, like, there were only two people in the room at the time and one of them was me and he probably only saw me at first and he was walking over to my desk because he WANTED TO TALK TO ME ABOUT VELLUM! AND THE PREVIEW WAS JUST ABOUT TO START! SERIOUSLY, I KID YOU NOT, WHAT IS MY LIFE?! (I had to pause and, like, unpack my sketchbook that I just put in my bag because I was about to leave! This is the kind of weird coincidence crap you see on TV that you don't expect to happen in RL, but of course it does!)
(I totally watched the preview after he was done talking to me and moved onto the other person in the room, LOLOLOLOL. XP) - VELLUM
Obviously you knew this was coming, lol, because I just talked about how my professor came over to talk to me about Vellum. XP But yeah, I told him about my bookshelf maze idea and showed him one of the mazes I drew up that I was somewhat happy with and he actually likes the idea. (I mean, I really like the idea, but it's always nice when the professor actually agrees, you know?) Anyway, he didn't really say anything that was earth-shattering to me, lol, and all the comments he had basically it kind of boiled down to "refining the maze" so there wouldn't be as many problems with it, which, yeah, I already knew all the problems he brought up, LOL, so not really news. XP And then he also said, "What if you could move the pieces?!" and like, that was totally the idea I had last week when I was taking a shower and I thought, "OMG HOW COOL WOULD THAT BE?!" and then I couldn't really figure out how I would actually do something like that, so I kind of just put that thought to the side. Anyway, he was like, "Think about it" so I guess I will, but it seems like, even if I do figure it out, it will probably be overly complicated to build (at least to me) and I probably wouldn't be able to do it right in the short amount of time we have left, lol.
But yeah, thanks to the people who voted yesterday on my last Vellum post! ♥ You guys are awesome! XD I will probably try to work a little on Vellum this weekend, but it's more likely that I'll be focusing on figuring out what to do for the Abstract Show on Wednesday instead and pushing Vellum stuff off until after Wednesday, LOL.
Now I am going to continue procrastinating for the next hour and read some more from
