remula | YAY PICTURES! (Reply)

My roommates (plus one friend each, lol) -- they are awesome, but they were seriously starting to annoy me last night. I mean, if you read my tweets, you probably saw my conversation with cindy_pon about it, LOL. XP But seriously, besides the fact that they took ten million years to get ready, then took almost an hour trying to find a ride, they came home around 2:15 and decided to have two super loud conversations. I mean, I was still awake at the time since I just got out of the shower, but I did want to sleep. I stayed up with them for about an hour or so talking, but when they got into a loud screaming conversation about one girl's epic love triangle, I decided it was time to just leave and go to bed. XP Unfortunately they were being SUPER LOUD for almost an hour more, so really, it wasn't like I left because I could still hear most of their conversation. -_-

VELLUM VELLUM VELLUM! I ended up not going to the reception last night, so I didn't get to take any pictures of cool furniture, but to make up for it, I took the pictures off of from my roommate's camera, since she left it out when they left. XP She didn't take that many pictures, so less to select from, but here is a small selection of furniture I liked. XD

Tara's (my roommate) and Sean's chair. Gian-Carlo and me sitting on it, lol, in studio around 2AM on Thursday, a few hours before it was due. XP

Nathan's and Blake's chair, made out of bent rebar and mailing tubes covered in some patio-type fabric. Their initial design had it floating and it was really scary to sit in it, but they added more rebar to the back part so it's stable now and pretty comfortable.

Bethany's and Matt's bench/chair, made out of a metal frame that they welded together (OMG!) and seatbelts. They way they have it designed, you can change up the configuration a bit because they have the buckles on the side.

Amanda's and Gus' chair that can open up and become a wall piece as well. Translucent opening for having a light behind it when it's a wall piece. It's pretty comfortable as a chair, but definitely can only hold lighter people. The back piece kind of bows when heavier people sit, lol.

Karlin's chair, made with a wine barrel! I really like the way she put it together and it's comfortable too, LOL! XD

Corey's bench -- I really like his concept, which is trying to solve the problem of the typical bench (both sitting facing the same way, and not looking at each other). It definitely works for people who know each other, but we had this discussion with him about how awkward it would be with people who don't know each other, lol.

Someone's table -- it's so nice. I really like it!

Someone's corner bookshelf. I saw it before and wasn't sure how it would hang, but it actually looks pretty nice! I still stand by my initial comment of "nice to look at, would never buy" though, lol. (There's just so much wasted or unusable space! Maybe I'm just too picky, hahaha.)

Some curved chair made of plywood and rope. I'm not that fond of the design, but it's pretty cool just because of the way they bent the plywood like that. They cut notches so they could bend it -- I'm just amazed at how well that worked out, without breaking the sheet of plywood!

Adriana's bookshelf -- it looks pretty nice.

Someone's chair, lol. It really simple, but OMG, super comfortable! The way the seat is formed just perfectly fits your butt, LOLOL. XP

Dude, the form of this rocking chair is so cool, even though the rocking part takes up WAY too much space. I tried sitting in it and I was terrified because the way the seat is angled, it's like you're leaning pretty far back and with your weight on the back part, you rock even FURTHER and it feels like you're gonna fall back on your head, LOL!

My friend is having a Halloween party tonight, but I don't have a costume, lol. I'm pretty sure I agreed sometime this week to go just because Nathan (guy who's having the party) made me shake (I didn't even know on what) so he would stop trying to mess with my laptop, then he was like, "See you Saturday" so yeah. x_x I really hope my friend (who also doesn't drink) ends up going too because I really need a sober buddy to laugh at all the drunk people with. XP

Day 14 -- What You Wore Today | Master List
Right now, I'm wearing a giant t-shirt and shorts because I'm lazy and haven't gone out. I remember on Monday though, when I was suppose to do this, I was wearing a blue shirt with some butterfly design and tan/white pants and that was pretty much the worst idea ever because I was still working on my project. The pants got so dirty, LOL.

Day 15 -- Your Dreams | Master List
I honestly don't know anymore. I'm just at this burnt out point right now where I don't really care about anything except finishing school and finding a job back home in SD. But I guess my dream would be to find a job/career where I'm not dreading going to work, lol.

Day 16 -- Your First Kiss | Master List
It was with my ex-boyfriend and we were probably two weeks into our relationship or something and we were obviously lame in that adorable hand-holding, pecks on the cheek kind of way up until then, lol. Anyway, it was in the ROTC classroom (I know, so much fail, right?) and standing by my desk and it was a few minutes before class started for the day (I had RO for first period) and it just happened really quickly and wasn't all that special and pretty much just a peck on the lips, haha. XP

Day 17 -- Your Favorite Memory | Master List
I dunno, I can't really think of anything that would be my favorite memory right now, lol. Pretty much any time when me and

aznearthdragon hang out and are being super ridiculous (more so than usual, I mean). XP Also super late nights when you're with people working on projects and you reach that point where everything is funny? Those are pretty awesome too. =)

Day 18 -- Your Favorite Birthday | Master List
I don't really celebrate my birthday, so I dunno. I guess the year (like, two years ago now?) when my ex-boyfriend got me the most awesome boots ever, lol. I wish I had them here now, lol, because they are my favorite. ♥

Day 19 -- Something You Regret | Master List
Right now, not starting on my Vellum project earlier and not being able to finish it for the show. =/ Also, trying to use the jigsaw to cut and failing at measuring -- should have just sucked it up and went to the shop to cut it the first time around, LOL.

Some super short responses, but I don't really have the energy to write more right now, LOL.

It is freezing in the living room and I wish I had my green prom dress I wore to ROTC Ball in senior year because I would totally rock that as a Halloween costume if it was here! (How much easier can it get than wearing an old prom dress as a costume? I would say the red dress I actually wore for prom too, but I didn't like that one as much, LOL.) Seriously, I would have worn that stupid tiara and sash thing too just to complete the costume and why didn't I bring any of that crap here? =/ But whatever, I will probably just be lame and not dress up tonight because it is too much effort for my lazy self to attempt to make a costume from what I have, LOLOL. XP
