Anyways, we had a guest speaker today in computers (she talked about first impressions). It was boring. -_-
We had a sub in English. That sucked 'cause 4th period is the fun class. Whatever. I didn't get to finish my work. =/
Today, there were some people from this big company and they were gonna decide how much money to give us. And Mr. Myer's rich friend was there too and everyone was kissing ass when he came in, lol. There were also some 8th graders taking a tour when I was in 3rd period. They came in for a few minutes and we explained our lab, then when they were leaving the class, Ashley was like "Don't come here! Save yourselves!" LOL! =D
In Construction, Mr. Myers talked about next year's schedule. Here's the info....
This is gonna be the last year that any school in the district will have summer school. (I'm DEFINITELY gonna go to sumnmer school, but I wanna have a job too.... =/ I know Mr. Myers is hiring some people in the summer, but can I work too even though I take summer school? I hope so.... I need some money! I mean, I'm gonna drive soon! Less than 9 months away..... ^__^ I can't wait!) Anyways, he also said that all the schools in the district will become year-round schools and not trad schools anymore. =/ That sucks 'cause I don't wanna go to a year-round school. It'll be weird and HOT when we gotta take classes in the summer. O_O
Also, they're changing the schedules -- naturally, it'll be for all the schools too. @_@ And it goes like this....
There will be 6 periods. But it'll still be the 4x4 schedule. There's gonna be a Zero (0) period and a Fifth (5) period added. For those who want to end early, they go 0-3. For those who want to start late, they can go 2-5. And of course, there's the middle, 1-4. You can also take all 6 periods, if you want, which is what I'm gonna do. I want to get all my credits -- I could graduate early if I choose to -- and plus, I WANT to be able to have some electives. This year sucks 'cause we couldn't have any. Anyway, the zero period starts at 7:30 so it'll just be like a regular day, so I'm not phazed about that. And it's only about an extra hour or two longer so it's no big deal. I've got a hour to spare everyday if it means I can graduate as a Junior or Sophmore. =D I mean, with the regular 4 periods, Mr. Myers still said we'd have enough credits to graduate early by second half of Junior year except we'd only have to take this one class you can only take as a Senior -- meaning the next year, we could just come for one class and be done after that semester. ^_^
Anyway, the days go like this:
September 02 -- October 31 ~ School
November 01 -- November 21 ~ Off
November 24 -- February 06 ~ School
February 07 -- February 27 ~ Off
March 01 -- May 07 ~ School
May 08 -- May 28 ~ Off
June 01 -- July 30 ~ School
August 02 -- September 01 ~ Off
And also, he said that Kearny (Regular) is no more. Kearny's gonna turn into all acdemies. So there's gonna be the Construction Tech, a Science one, an automotive one, and a technology/communication one. And the good news -- we can take the electives (that means like our construction class) of the other acdemies. ^____^ YAY! 'Cause I know LOTS of people wanted to change acdemies, so now they can take the other classes (read: automotive). =P
And who knows, I might, and that's a BIG might, take the automotive one too. O_O But only if some car illiterate people come with me -- of course, I don't think I know ANYONE who knows as much *cough*little*cough* about cars as me. Everyone seems to know more. And I should too seeing as I'm asian and all, but I don't fit in that stereotype. I think cars are boring and that modifing all those things is just a waste of time. (But you NEVER heard that from me! SHHHH!!!) I wouldn't have the first idea about buying a car! I'd probably need some guy to go car shopping with me when I get mine. Or I'd get my mom and dad to choose since I don't see the difference between the cars. Yeah, they look a little different, but they have the same thing, right? But of course, everyone else (read: my friends) would TOTALLY tell me different. Whew! Look at that! I'm TOTALLY off subject. I tend to do that a lot. LOL! *^_^*
Well, there's geometry homework to do... TOO much if you ask me... 13 freaking problems, all with parts a-c at least. >_< And it doesn't help that they're proofs, so you gotta PORVE that so-and-so is a triangle, or this-and-that's a square. @_@
