remulaSo I went to bed around 4:30AM even though I felt like I had nothing done and I had an awesome sleep, if you discount the fact that I dreamed that I went to Las Vegas (it totally wasn't Las Vegas, but that's what we called it in my dream) and I forgot to pack, like, all the essential stuff. aznearthdragon didn't call me around 1PM, I probably wouldn't have even woken up for class, lol. Anyway, when I woke up, I didn't actually feel that sick and I thought to myself, "YAY, I'm getting better!" but you know that obviously degenerated once I got to school. -_- Body, why must you tempt me so? =(
Luckily I made it to studio before the professor came, so I call that a success, in that front, at least. XP Anyway, in class we finally voted on the name of our studio. I wasn't here on Monday when they came up with the giant list of names they wrote on the chalkboard, but I'm sure you can imagine that the majority of the names were related to killing since our professor's last name is Killing. XP But yeah, my personal favorite was 401K because I thought it was pretty clever (relevant because our classroom number is 401). We got three votes the first round, so I voted for that one, Killing Time, and Amanda and Friends. Amanda and Friends as a joke because there's this girl in my studio named Amanda (she is awesome, we've been friends since freshman year) that is just super nice and she's friends with pretty much everyone in studio, lol. (Yesterday when people tried to explain it to Amanda, she was like, "I'm not friends with that girl in the corner!" -- it was kind of hilarious, especially her tone, LOL. XP)
In the end, the winner was Killing Time. It was obvious because that got the most votes in the first round -- it wasn't even necessary to do two more rounds of voting, lol, though we did it anyway. (Killing Time is forever associated with that AFI song in my mind, lol.) The surprising thing was that the last round was between Killing Time and Amanda and Friends even without Amanda's endorsement. XP
Anyway, the professor talked to me today about my project and, even though I'm behind, I kind of feel better (in terms of my project). IDK, I always have mixed feelings about talking with him because I feel like I'm so behind, but at the same time, there's that feeling of relief, you know, because even if he doesn't give me much direction, it's still better than nothing. Whatever, this weekend is major catch-up time.
Besides working on my project, I kind of need to go shopping this weekend for New York. I kind of don't want to go shopping because I don't really have money to spend, but at the same time, I don't own any real winter clothing because I've lived in California all my life (San Diego and SLO) and, if it isn't already obvious, it doesn't actually get that cold here. Like, SLO winter (coldest would probably be low 40s at night) is basically the coldest place I've ever been and I haven't even seen snow in my life. (And I seriously think that it's freezing when it's night time here, I don't even know what it'll feel like in NY.) Please advise me on what I need to buy for this trip -- at least a jacket and some boots, I'm thinking, LOL.
I need to go find some more medicine now. Stupid sickness.
