remula | Phones, Moving, Music, and Inception

Got my new phone in the mail on Friday! It is a Samsung Gravity T, which looks like this:

Which is, like, a giant upgrade from this:

Sadly, my new phone is not a smartphone, but not everyone can afford one of those (darn you, expensive data plan!), so this will have to do for now. XP Someday, like when I've graduated and actually have a job, I will be able to afford a smartphone (Droid, I have my eye on you!), but that's still a minimum of a year away, so... XP

Yesterday, I wasted about 12.5-13 hours in a car and about three hours hauling my crap from my apartment to the one next door. Obviously this was a glorious way to spend a Saturday and I highly recommend it. *cough* But seriously, my parents were like, "Wake up at 3AM so we can go!" and we were like, "Okay" and I set an alarm on my new phone, but you know, new phones are tricky creatures that don't do what you want it to do and, needless to say, we woke up late. x_x Instead, my dad wakes up around 5:15 and yells at us because no one woke up on time and then we rushed to get ready and were out the door at 5:45.

The thing is, I'm not really good at falling alseep in general and especially not in a car, so I was kind of awake the whole time. x_x Anyway, we went to my grandparents house in LA to drop off something, then we continued on our way up to SLO. Yay for no traffic on the way up!

After eating at Subways, we set to work on moving all my crap out of my apartment to my friend's apartment next door. I'm still going to be living in my place this year, but McNamara (realtors who own apartment complex) is gonna be renovating my place which means I have to move my crap for the few weeks it's gonna take. x_x Such a hassle, but it's totally worth it because my apartment is super shitty. New carpet, tile, and windows, and manager said maybe countertop and sink (I HOPE SO, BUT I KINDA DOUBT THAT). Too bad they didn't want to renovate it until now, when I'll only be there one more year (seriously, total douches!), but whatever.

We finished up around 2-ish and then made our way back to SD (yay, more fun in a car! -_-). I said it yesterday on Twitter, but seriously, my mom is amazing. I don't think I would ever be able to drive from SD to SLO and back in one day, but she just does it. @_@ So crazy!

After 13 hours in a car, I have to say, radio stations need to broaden their playlists! Seriously, I think we heard the same ten-ish songs at least six-million times, okay?! It's nice at first when you're bored out of your mind to sing along, but it gets kind of old! I know stations want to play the hits that everyone likes, but can they maybe, I don't know, not play all ten of them every hour? There are more songs in the world than California Gurls, Tik Tok, Airplanes (okay, I admit, I really like Airplanes and it still isn't played out yet for me), Billionaire, Love the Way You Lie, etc. (Look at that, I probably mentioned five of the top ten songs right there!)

Inception fics are taken over my life! Seriously, I know I should be working on my portfolio website or studying for the CDT or some other productive thing, but I just keep reading fics. (My life, it is so hard! XP) But whatever, this is summer and I haven't had a nothing-to-do summer since freshman year, so it's all good, I guess. XP Anyway, for people who write fics, I would like to request more:
- BAMF!Ariadne (because she is!)
- Saito/Cobb (YESSSSS!)
- Saito in general (because there aren't enough fics with Saito in it, okay?!)

OMG, THE LYRICS ARE THE MOST RIDICULOUS. My favorite part has to be when he talks about the cheese and how it smells like feet to him, OMG. Also, her smile TAKES OVER HER FACE (it's kind of creepy, okay?!)
