I feel like it's been forever since I last posted, but it was apparently only a few days ago, so I suppose this means I'm actually back in the habit of posting regularly! Go me! XP
Last time I talked about life, I was debating about going to Vegas this weekend with my club. I'm pretty sure it was obvious from my tweets, but yeah, I decided against going and stayed in town instead. Apparently that was a good decision because my roommate came back earlier and her reaction when I about Vegas was, and I quote, "Ugh!" She told me about it and yeah, it just confirmed my decision to stay here, even though I didn't get as much stuff done as I was hoping to. I mean, I might not have gotten much done, but it was more stuff than I would have had done than if I was away all weekend, so semi-success, right? XP
I think I should really get back to working on my model -- I swear I will never get it finished at the snail pace I'm moving at. =(

- FRIDAY
I ended up sleeping in on Friday and I didn't wake up until 1PM, when I have studio at 1PM. Anyway, I checked my email before getting ready and our professor moved our section model stuff to be due on Wednesday instead of Friday, so I was happy. And then I wasted a bunch of time getting ready, though I don't know what i was doing because I'm actually pretty fast at getting ready. Seriously, I can make it out the door in 10-15 minutes if I try, but I didn't actually end up leaving for studio until 2-ish. It's probably because our professor emailed us and said he was going to be a little late and would be there at 2PM -- things like that make me more lazy, you know. XP I don't really know what I did all day in studio, but I didn't accomplish much during that time. Wait, I take that back, I was watching The Social Network with everyone else since it was on the TV and then I semi-watched A Very Potter Musical after that, but really, I think I was just unmotivated to do work and what I did work on, I ended up scrapping this weekend because I decided to do things differently than how I planned at first. *sweatdrop*
In the evening, because I didn't go to Vegas with everyone else, I decided to go to the meet up thing with the other people who did the Hines Competition. We went to The Kilt, which is this this bar & grill type place. The CRP department was paying for our appetizers (I feel like the department spent a lot of money on this competition b/c they paid for a bunch of supplies for working and also for food most of the last week of competition as well), so we ate a bunch of fried stuff since those were the only appetizer options. We stayed a few hours eating and talking and then finally, around 9:45 we left and people decided they wanted to go dancing and I decided to go with because my ride was going, lol. We ended up going to The Native, which I've never been to, but it was no cover if you had your student ID and, when we got there, it was apparently buy one get get one free on drinks until 11 (for the others who drink, obviously). Anyway, when we got there, it was pretty empty and there was seriously no one on the dance floor, lol. It kind of got a little more busy later on, but there was still plenty of room on the dance floor, but it was pretty fun. =) - SATURDAY
On Saturday, I had all the intentions of going shopping for New York, but I ended up sleeping in until, like, 1PM, and then I couldn't force myself out of the apartment until about 3:30PM and I had to go to the bookstore because I needed to buy supplies to work on my section model and the bookstore closes at 4PM. And then afterwards, I was, like, unmotivated to actually go shopping because the buses stop running around 5-6PM and yeah. So I ended up making two trips to school and back because what I bought from the bookstore were giant sheets of board and I didn't have enough hands to carry stuff from studio home at the same time. Anyway, I'll tell you right now that it was ridiculously had making that second trip back home because all the stuff I needed from studio was freakin' heavy! I think I got a bazillion bruises on my arm while I was carrying it all since it kept shifting around and corners kept digging into me and stuff. So annoying! You can imagine I didn't get much done that night, LOL. The only thing I did was glue my base together, figure out the topo, and made that part. -_- - SUNDAY aka TODAY
Once again I had intentions of waking up super early and going shopping, but that was a total bust because I didn't get up until noon. Then I was unmotivated to leave the house because I would have to change and I was just feeling lazy and yeah. So I ended up sitting around doing absolutely NOTHING for a couple hours before actually getting to work at 3-4ish, which totally means I had time to go shopping, you know? *sweatdrop* Whatever, so far I have still not accomplished much besides making the highway, LOL. I really need to get a move on if this is suppose to be done by Wednesday. =/ - ARCH 443 MIDTERM
So we were suppose to have a midterm in my practice class this Thursday, but earlier the professor emailed and said he was moving it back to next week -- SCORE! The bad news is that in the last class, the professor said he was going to make the test not multiple choice to make it harder -- ARGH! My roommate told me that it was because in one of the practice activity sections, everyone was saying the test was easy and stuff, but seriously, if it was so easy, how come only half the class got As and Bs? DON'T MAKE IT HARDER! I don't want to study harder than I had to study for the first one! >O (I'm kind of annoyed at myself -- I was one point away from getting an A on the first midterm! And there were at least two questions I should have gotten right but I apparently marked the wrong bubble! ;_;) - NEW YORK
Going to New York later this week with my studio! My flight leaves this Thursday at 11PM from LAX and we're staying in NY until next Wednesday. I'm so excited since I've never been! XD I'm not, however, excited about how cold it will be! I will live in hope that it's semi-warm while we're there! I mean, I should probably check what the weather will be like, but I probably won't end up doing that until I start packing, lol. Is it sad that one of the things I'm looking forward to during this trip is reading actual books, like, during the wait at the airport and then on the plane? Because I am actually pretty excited about that since I haven't gotten the chance to actually read in a while! (Yeah, I'm pretty bad at keeping my New Years resolutions, it's true!) I need to decide what books I will read during this trip! Right now I'm kindo of leaning towards taking The Hunger Games series with me since I have the books and I've been meaning to read them for the longest time, lol, but I probably won't decide for sure until I actually get around to packing, probably on Wednesday night. XP
I think I should really get back to working on my model -- I swear I will never get it finished at the snail pace I'm moving at. =(
