remula- So in my 443 class today, at the end of lecture, one of the activity professor goes up and gives us all an almost ten minute lecture about how disappointed he was in our behavior because he sits in the back of the classroom most of the time and he was shocked, absolutely shocked at how many people are on Facebook and texting and people walking in late, etc, etc. and how that is NOT OKAY in the professional world. I will just say right now that I was absolutely unimpressed with that lecture, seriously. I mean, it's all well and good that you want to reprehend all the people who are being bad students in class, but it's not okay that I have to sit through that when I feel like I've done nothing wrong. I sit and pay attention in lecture. I don't come in late. I admit I have probably texted two or three times in that class, but that is the extent of what I've done and I don't need to hear about how I need to get my act together because I already do and I have and I've been. I know they don't want to call people out on stuff, but seriously, I don't deserve to be lectured like a little kid when I haven't done anything wrong. And really, even if I wasn't respectful, which I am, it would also help if the people in the department are respectful of us as well, which isn't always the case.
- Last night I talked my friend into going to Costco today after he was done with classes, but he decided to ditch his last class, so we ended up going earlier than expected, lol. I bought a bunch of random stuff I needed there and then we went to TJ Maxx since it was in the same area and I was looking for a coat, but I ended up buying a jacket that was cute, but definitely not what I was looking for. Seriously, I am a bad shopper, lol. (Sadly, I checked the tag after I bought it and it's dry clean only -- ARGH! Those are the worst!) I also bought some gloves because they were on sale. XP After that, we went to Kohl's and I ended up buying a green purse (it was only $5.80! I blame my friend who is a giant enabler, lol). We also walked around Sears for a bit, but I didn't see anything I wanted. So really, this day was semi successful in terms of shopping if you disregard the fact I didn't get the right kind of jacket (aka the purpose of the shopping trip, excluding Costco stuff, lol).
- I really hope that my EDES class doesn't take the whole three hours today because I really need to work on my section model for tomorrow. I seriously don't have much done at all and it's making me a little worried. Like, I know I talked to people in studio today and it feels like no one will have everything done for tomorrow, but I still feel like I'm really behind. And I don't even know what I should even focus on, like, if the axon drawing is more important than the section model or whatever and it's stressing me out because they won't even tell us the requirements for the section show. x_x I mean, I finally kind of have my floor plan figured out, so I could do the drawings we need, but I don't have time to everything, you know? And I still don't really know what my facade/roof looks like. BLEH!
Must do some laundry before class...
