Totally suckage! Granted, when there was the first DDoS attack, I was kind of busy with finishing my stuff, presentations, and sleeping, so I didn't really feel anything, but yeah. Today has been annoying -- how am I suppose to procrastinate in the most efficient manner if I'm stuck refreshing the page a million times? - FIRST WEEK OF SCHOOL RECAP!
So last week was only the first week of school, but it definitely feels like it's been forever already! It was probably the presentations -- all nighters during the week definitely throw your whole week off. That and having a holiday on Thursday which made the presentations on Wednesday feel like that was a Friday, lol. It doesn't help that I haven't really done anything productive since Wednesday after my presentation. *sweatdrop* But yeah, on Thursday I just hung around at home all day and did absolutely nothing and it was amazing. Then on Friday, I didn't have to worry about anything during other people's presentations because I had already gone! Most people said they would be going to Spike's that night and I kind of didn't want to go, but then Amanda called me and persuaded me to go and hang out, so I went. Then later that night, I went with Amanda and Gus to see Sucker Punch (movie tickets are so expensive, guys!)
On Saturday, I had a club meeting in the morning then afterwards, Tara and I went shopping and I bought the this super fruity skirt that's brown with flowers all over it that I got from the girls section at Old Navy, LOL. Afterwards we went home and watched the remake of The Karate Kid and then I ended up getting roped into going to a bonfire. The bonfire was pretty fun, but the fire itself was pretty much a fail because the guys had logs and, seriously, the sand and lighter fluid kept burning longer than the actual fire, lol. We left around 11PM and went back to Nathan's house to play card games until, like, 1:30 in the morning. (We played Fluxx, which I've never heard of, but it was pretty fun.)
On Sunday, I pretty much did nothing besides sit around in studio procrastinating, lol. I mean, I was here for internet purposes and supposedly for doing homework, but that totally didn't happen. XP And then when we finally went home, I procrastinated some more by watching Megamind with Tara. (Megamind is hilarious, LOLOL.) The only productive thing I did, really, was go to the gym! (Go me!) I plan on going later tonight too -- I brought my gym clothes and everything! But then when I was in class this morning, I realized I forgot to bring my sports bra with me. FAIL! -_- So now I figure I'll just go home after studio and change before going to the gym. - THESIS!
So on Friday night, around 11:56PM, right after I got home from the movie, the girl in our class who is our rep. for the Chumash book finally e-mailed us and told us we our pages due for the book on Monday night and finally sent us the layout. You don't even know how annoyed I was! And seriously, pretty much everyone in our studio is pissed off at her about this whole situation because all the other studios knew about this last quarter and we just find out a few days before the deadline? If I knew about this earlier, I would have worked harder to have renderings done because right now, I pretty much have nothing and I'm still debating on whether I want to be included in the book. Because I know a lot of my stuff is changing and I don't want to put something in there that doesn't look anything like my final product, so right now, the only thing that I can put in is my section drawing and section model. The site plan will be changing and the floor plans will be changing and seriously, I have nothing. =/ ARGH!
In other news, when Angsar finally came into studio today, around 2:15-ish (after emailing us and saying he'd be here late at 1:45), he comes over to me first. -_- I mean, I guess I'm glad he talked to me first because at least I know what I need to do now, but yeah. So I need to have my new site plan with the new circulation and stuff figured out and drawn out by Wednesday. @_@ I mean, I know it's doable to figure it all out, but I don't know if I will have it all drawn out by then. -_- And I don't think I can pull an all-nighter again this week after finally getting back to a normal sleeping schedule. But yeah, hopefully I will have all the site stuff done by Friday at the latest and then I think I can get the floor plans done by next week and then redo my section model the week after that while working on a 3-D model. Hopefully I can have everything pretty much done by week five (end of April) at the latest. The big Fifth Year Show is on Memorial Weekend, but I hear there's a Detail Show happening sometime in May before that and I don't know if/when our studio is having our own show, but if we do, that would be happening sometime in May before Chumash as well. STRESS! But almost done!
OMG guys, there's only ten more weeks until graduation and then I have to be a REAL ADULT! How scary! I don't even have a job lined up yet! ;_; Oh double stress of trying to find a job and working on my thesis at the same time... Here's to hoping I have some good luck at the job fair in a few weeks. (Though I'm not holding my breath -- there's only a handful of architecture/construction firms showing up and I know there are more impressive people in my year fighting for the jobs in architecture and it's hard to compete against those CMs for project management jobs.)

Date: 2011-04-05 04:19 am (UTC)Hmm.. Sucker Punch... There are things I liked and there are things I didn't like about the movie and I guess in the end it evens out to an okay movie, lol.
It is super SUPER fruity, OMG. I'll take a picture of it later, you will probably laugh at me. XD
