It's been a while since I last posted! IDK, I always have moments where I'm like, "Oh, I will post about this or that!" and then when I actually get back to the computer, I totally forget about it -- you know how it is. XP But seriously, I've been living a pretty laid back and boring life since I'm done with school and am just looking for a job. (Job searching sucks, yo.) Anyway, let's do this in bullets! More things will probably come to me that way. XD

  • JOB HUNTING!
So this is probably more difficult than expected probably because there simply aren't that many jobs for me here in SD and when I do find something relivant, they want experience. I mean, I probably would have more options if I branched out, but I just don't have the money to move/live somewhere else right now. Also, there's the fact that I actually DO want to stay in SD, so yeah. -_- I will just continue looking and hopefully findsomething; at this point, I don't really care if I get a job in an architecture firm, I just want a job somewhere within the construction industry. (And really, I wouldn't mind an administrative assistant job in a construction firm because I am bomb at admin-type stuff and they make more money than I would probably get an entry/junior architect job, lol.)

  • ACCREDITATIONS/CERTIFICATIONS!
[personal profile] aznearthdragon and I are going to a LEED Green Associate study group thing. First meeting was Tuesday evening, next one is tonight, and then the last two meetings are next week. So yeah, I basically decided yesterday that I was going to take the LEED GA test because I have nothing else to do and it'll probably help me find a job. I'm thinking that August would be a good time to take it -- one month to study, lol. It would be tempting to put it off for more study time, but really, I don't know how to study like that. If I took longer than a month on studying, I feel like I'll probably just forget stuff from the beginning and it'd be an endless cycle. Hopefully I pass on the first try b/c I don't want to pay to take it a second time!

In the same vein, I also decided that I'm just gonna suck it up and take the CDT at the end of September! I've seriously been putting that one off for too long, I should have done it last year, but I didn't end up studying. x_x Anyway, I was looking it up and apparently this upcoming test will be switching to the new material and I am kind of annoyed because I already bought the PRM before and I don't really want to buy the new book that this test will be based off of. I'm still trying to decide if it's worth it to buy the new book ($75) or just study off of what I have and hope that it's good enough to pass. Whatever, I suppose I will just study off what I have for now until I get to the point when I'm too freaked out about possible outdated material -- if I don't get to that point, then I won't buy the book, LOL. XP

  • LULU!
So Lulu.com is having a First Book Free sale going on until the end of July, which I only found out about yesterday (sadness, I had half a month I could have been dedicating to this!), so now I'm actually motivated to make my thesis book which our class didn't have to make! Seriously, I'm kind of bummed that I didn't actually make a book (not that I want to turn in a book, but you know, it would have been nice to have been forced to do it so I would have something), but now that I can get it for free, I have motivation again to actually do it! Hopefully I'll be able to get it all done and have it look good. Also, I need to fix up my portfolio a bit, then I'll probably publish that too just so I can get a free copy of it. XP

  • FRIENDS WITH BENEFITS!
Moving on from boring life stuff, last week [personal profile] aznearthdragon and I went to a screening of Friends With Benefits and it is super hilarious. This seems to be the year for friends with benefits kind of thing since No Strings Attached came out earlier in the year too, but I haven't seen that. Justin Timberlake and Mila Kunis seems to be a better couple (to me) than Ashton Kutcher and Natalie Portman anyway. XP (But how confusing is it that the other movie was called No Strings Attached and JT wasn't in it?!) Anyway, I'll just say that the trailer (linked above) is pretty much a collection of almost all of the amazingly hilarious (and embarrassing) scenes from the movie. (Sadly, the scene with the mom on the guy was left out which is sad because how awesome (and embarrassing) would that moment have been?!)

So, you know, if you are inclined to watch ridiculous rom-coms, you should definitely check it out when it comes out later in July. (Or you can try and get into a screening of it because getting to watch movies for free before they come out is obviously the best way to watch movies, right? XP)

And for the people who have already seen it... I have a question! )

  • GOOGLE+!
So the other day, Google+ was unveiled! It looks pretty cool -- I really want an invite to try it out, lol. The thing that sounds the most cool to me is the Hangouts thing because that just sounds like an awesome idea and way better than regular video chat in that I am actually likely to use it, as opposed to regular video chat, which I can honestly say I've only used twice in my life (first was to test out my webcam when I got this laptop, since my old one didn't have a webcam, and second so one of my friends could test out the Google video chat since he never tried it before). So yeah, if any of you guys have one, please send an invite my way and I'd be eternally grateful! ♥♥

  • COACH PURSE!
Tuesday before going to the LEED GA meeting, [personal profile] aznearthdragon and I went to meet one of my cousins so she could give us our graduation gifts.

[personal profile] aznearthdragon's is the same, but in brown/beige.

It's nice, but I don't really know when I would use it because I'm not really into designer stuff and I buy, like, cheap purses, LOL. Like, the green one that I've been using (that I posted before in the bag meme way back when) was $5.70 on clearance at Kohl's! But whatever, new purse! =)

So that's pretty much it for now...

GUYS, I GRADUATE IN LESS THAN EIGHT HOURS! It's still freakin' weird to think that I'm actually DONE! I really should go to sleep soon because my parents will be here in about six hours and then they're gonna help me move my bookshelf out of studio (what a way to spend the little time I have before graduation, right?), then it's graduation time. After the ceremony, we're basically gonna jump in the car and drive back down to SD for [personal profile] aznearthdragon's engineering ring ceremony thing. Then tomorrow morning we have to go to [personal profile] aznearthdragon's graduation ceremony! YAY CLASS OF 2011! ♥

[personal profile] aznearthdragon decorated her cap.

(Hers is on the left.)

It's so cute! Sadly my cap is undecorated. I asked [personal profile] aznearthdragon if she could cut out the pieces to decorate my cap during the drive up to SLO -- hopefully she can get it done so I can have a pretty cap too. (I love you [personal profile] aznearthdragon, you are awesome! ♥)

Anyway, I should get to bed.

I finished my last final of my life yesterday, it was awesome! I mean, I definitely didn't get a 100%, like I did on the midterm in that class, but it was respectable enough, so at least I know I'm getting an A somewhere. XP I wish I was completely done, but I have an exit interview with Ansgar later today and then I have to take photos of my model and make my CD on Thursday before I'm completely done with everything. But yeah, graduation on Saturday -- SO WEIRD!

I'm thinking of decorating my cap, but I dunno what to do! I wish I could think of something cool, but I'm totally lame. All ideas are welcome -- please, make my day! XP

I really need people to help me move my bookshelf out of studio. =( No one wants to help me though, it sucks. =( Hopefully I can find people to help, but if not, then I really need my family to come here early on Saturday to help me move it to my apartment before the graduation ceremony. =/

I definitely had more to say, but I started this entry before I got distracted by people coming over and now it's all late and I can't remember, so yeah. Probably more to say later when I actually remember. XP

  1. First, [personal profile] aznearthdragon posted this on my FB wall this morning:
Just wanted to let you know about our commencement.
    UCSD - Warren: Sunday, June 12 @ 8:00am http://warren.ucsd.edu/student-life/commencement/index.html
    Cal Poly: Architecture: Saturday, June 11 @ 9:00am http://www.studentlife.calpoly.edu/commencement/june2011.asp

Awesomeness -- that will be a most stressful weekend, lol. Guess that's the problem with only being a year apart and graduating on-time (I'm in a five-year program). But yay, one more year, we're almost there! XD

  2. Sometimes I hate being a nice person, LOL. So I woke up kind of later than usual this morning and as I was sitting down at my laptop after getting cereal from the kitchen, my roommate (apartment-mate? That's so long, I'll stick with roommate, LOL) asks if I want to go with her to some WOW (Week of Welcome) check-in for the Club Expo thing tomorrow (our club is participating, but both of us are NOT on the committee -- how did she get roped into being the one to go to this meeting?!). Anyway, being the good friend that I am, I say I'll go with her and then hit up the gym afterwards, thinking that the check-in thing wouldn't take long. Of course that's when she springs it onto me that the check-in was 30 minutes after she asked me and UGH, I was just getting settled to eat and stuff! -_-

So yeah, went to that and it was so stupid -- I mean, all the info that they gave us, they could have just EMAILED all the clubs participating about! (Seriously, I was roped into doing the WOW Club Expo the past three years and this is the first time they've ever had this dumb check-in thing where the only relevant information we got was where our booth space was! Usually it's EMAILED to us! Also, it was an hour of my life wasted waiting in line -- so ridiculous!)

  3. Oh god, school starts on Monday! I AM NOT READY! ;_; At least I only have one class on Monday and it's not until 1PM, LOL. Unfortunately my roommate tells me that when she had him last year, he kept them the whole time! If this was a normal class, I'd be like, "pfff, one/two hours, whatever" but this is studio! Which means FIVE HOURS! Hopefully he's just going to talk or whatever -- I'm not down for doing work on the first day, LOLOL. XP IDK, maybe we'll decide on our field trip location! I know his prospectus said possibly Germany, but I don't think I can afford that (even though that sounds so awesome, lol), but pretty much anywhere is good for me as long as it isn't too expensive 'cause I haven't really traveled much at all!

So it seems like forever since I've posted here. @_@ I know I was not missed, haha. XP But yeah.. School was sucking up all my time and next thing you know, blogging was pushed aside. =/ But now it's summer (about a week in now! =O ) and I will be back to posting because I have nothing else to do, of course. XP

So, last time I posted, it was in April and was a post recounting the days I didn't post, as was the post before it. Seeing as it's been months since then, I don't think I can recount every single day, but I'll try to hit all the interesting points.. or whatever. My life isn't that interesting, so I dunno.. More like the things I remember and the things I should talk about. XP

MAY

GOING HOME
So the first highlight of May, I suppose, was going home the first weekend of it. XD The first week was basically BREAK week in architecture when meant break in everything to me, so yeah. Perfect opportunity to go home, right? Totally! So I left on Thursday (the 3rd) after history because I didn't want to miss history and yeah.. Had to take Greyhound which sucked ass and yeah. Boring ride and then... STRANDED at the LA Greyhound station. I swear, I was so pissed off. It's like, Greyhound is not responsible if there aren't enough seats on the bus, so bus is full, I have to wait fir for the next bus. Let's just say, being stranded for FOUR HOURS with a bunch of Mexican people who don't speak English and don't see fit to explain the situation to me was NOT cool. x_x I was so pissed off.. Finally got on the next bus and didn't get to SD until seven in the morning and I was SO not impressed. >O

My mom came and picked me up, went home, ate, then went to nap for a couple hours 'cause obviously I didn't get that much rest time in, what with being STRANDED and all. After that, I dunno.. TV and whatever. But good to be home, as always.

BRIGADE COMPETITION
So May 5th was Brigade competition, at Kearny, of course. Got up bright and early at 4:00 in the morning with [livejournal.com profile] aznearthdragon and got ready and went to school. So early. ;_; But yeah.. Hung out with people and watching them practicing and all that. Watched the competition and yeah.. You know how it is. XP And now, my crappy videos..

Kearny Armed Drill Team 2007. Missing intro and outro. Sadness. But won first place. Woot.

Keany Unarmed Drill Team 2007. Only the second half of the routine. Oh well.

After the competition, hung with [livejournal.com profile] bobbleheadvi while [livejournal.com profile] aznearthdragon went to do whatever she had to do for school. Ate at K's, then waited around for Mira Mesa. They were pretty awesome, like whoa. After that, had to go home, and yeah.. That was pretty much the weekend.

SAN FRANSISCO
On the 18th, after physics, went to the bus stop to go to San Fransisco. The bus was almost two hours late and yeah.. LONG bus ride. x_x But finally got there and yeah.. Me and Teresa stayed with Amanda at her aunt's house. That night, we played a video game ((Mario something or whatever.. I dunno, I'm not a games person!)) and Amanda and Teresa were ganging up on me just because I kept beating them. Such meanies!

On Saturday, met with the class and wandered SF. Took a whole bunch of pictures of buildings and the like, but only posted the pictures with people in my Facebook. Albums are HERE and HERE. Teachers were mean 'cause they kept ditching us. Like, once, we were walking across the street and the light changed, and half the class made it while the other half was stranded on the opposite side and the teachers looked back, saw we were left behind, and kept walking. x_x LAMENESS! And then there was a street fair when we were going to the SOMA house and the teachers totally took us down the street fair path even though the possibility of getting lost was increased by a million and walked WAY fast and didn't even slow down or look back. x_x LAMENESS! And yeah.. But eventually finished and then went around shopping for a while before leaving.

Stopped by to check out Amanda's place while her aunt got Chinese, then went back to her aunt's place to eat. After that, played some games, then went into the hot tub for a while. After that, more games, then bed.

Got up extra early to get ready and went to the train station to go back to SLO.

MEMORIAL WEEKEND
[livejournal.com profile] bobbleheadvi came to visit me on Memorial weekend. Came on Friday, the 25th in the evening. That day, I was with Amanda getting stuff from Home Depot then working on marking out the wood pieces for the base. Had to get food for my babe and he came around 9:00. Finished up and just hung with my dork and stuff. XP

Saturday was our one year anniversary. We got up and went to school to see the fifth year show. It wasn't as impressive as I thought it'd be. After that, played a game of bowling, then went and bought supplies for my project. After that, went back to my place to hang, then went downtown later to hang around and eat sushi.

Sunday, we went to Madonna and shopped, then ate at Hometown Buffet. After that, went back to my place and napped and I worked on my essay. After that, just hung out and did a whole bunch of nothing, of course.

On Monday, I dunno what we did, but I'm sure it was pretty boring. XP Probably went to buy food at Albertson's and was just boring at my place. I dunno, haha.

Tuesday, got up early so I could go to the shop and work on my project, then got pizza and ate before walking my dork to the bus stop so he could go. =(

JUNE

ARCHITECTURE & DEAD WEEK
So after Memorial Day, it was hardcore projecting. Last project of the quarter and year was called Poche and it was basically a project in which we had to make a wall. Wall had to include a door, window, stair, and ramp. It may sound easy, but it wasn't. So worked on that and it was due Tuesday night of Dead Week. Thank goodness that was over. Had a speech in English on Monday and that sucked too, but besides that..

Wednesday was the review. It was boring, as always. My project sucked, of course. I didn't take that many pictures 'cause I was lame and didn't want to, but you can check out the walls in my Facebook albums HERE and HERE.

After Wednesday, it was basically easy breezy, haha. At least, in my opinion, even though I had a lot to do still.

Wrote my English essays and revised and stuff on Friday and the weekend. Also studied for finals and yeah...

WORKING OUT
So after the relief of finishing the project on Wednesday, it was the kickoff of me and Teresa's workout time. Proud to say that since that Wednesday up until the day before I moved back, we went to the rec and worked out everyday for at least an hour, usually more. Good for us, haha. It was hot in the afternoons when we did it, but we did it. XP

FINALS WEEK / MOVING OUT
Had to turn in my essays and revisions for English on Tuesday afternoon. Had our physics final on Wednesday afternoon, which I sucked at, and yeah.. Thursday evening, had our history final. BLEH! And Friday was filled with getting storage and then the rest of the day full of packing. Oh joy of joys. It was such a mess in my room. But yeah.. At least I got everything done and then slept.

:Saturday, had to get up at 7:00 'cause my parents called. Got ready and parents got there around 7:40 or whatever and thus started our move-out adventure. Moved most stuff out, then went and put that in storage, then came back and moved everything else into the van. Then checked out at 11:45, then went to Carl's Jr. to eat. After eating, went to return my library books at school, then went to put the last few things into storage. Then we were off to home.

Major traffic once we got to LA and the Hollywood area. Sucked. Went to grandparents' house to eat dinner and wait out traffic, then left there at nine to go home. Got home at 11 and yeah.. SLEEP!

TIFFANY'S GRADUATION & LAST WEEK
Monday, went with [livejournal.com profile] aznearthdragon so I could go hang with the dorko [livejournal.com profile] bobbleheadvi. Didn't really do much that day.. Later, [livejournal.com profile] aznearthdragon was done with school and she and Kevin came over. Hung a little, then went to JC Penny to shop and bought stuff to wear for graduation.

Tuesday was my dear [livejournal.com profile] aznearthdragon's graduation. It was boring, as usual, but yeah.. My girl was salutatorian. After graduation, went home so my bro could change, then went to Costco. After Costco, went out to eat and yeah.. Pictures of graduation and afterwards are HERE and HERE.

Wednesday, went to [livejournal.com profile] bobbleheadvi's place to hang while [livejournal.com profile] aznearthdragon went to Mesa. After that, hung at [livejournal.com profile] bobbleheadvi's place, then went to JC Penny to return something, then walked around Fashion Valley. Bought [livejournal.com profile] bobbleheadvi shoes and then went to Chopstix to eat. After that, dropped the dork off and stuff, then went home.

Thursday, went to school with [livejournal.com profile] aznearthdragon so she could get her diploma, then went with [livejournal.com profile] bobbleheadvi to UCSD while [livejournal.com profile] aznearthdragon went to Mesa to take a math placement test. At UCSD, [livejournal.com profile] bobbleheadvi went to change his major. Future changed in less than five minutes from bio major to structural engineering major. =O But I'm positive that that engineering is way better suited for my babe. He's not a bio person, lol. Hope he does well...

On Sunday (yesterday), got my hair cut. Now it's like, a little past my shoulders. =O

And now we're up to today and I hope to post more regularly now, haha. I have more to say, but I'm tired of typing now, so more later. BLAHHHH!

It was HOT during graduation! I had to say the names... I messed up on a few... Oh well.

After, I had to go to the restuarant my dad works in [Flaming Wok]. It's in Santee. I stayed there until about 10:00 P.M. ...

Oh yea, at the gradutation, somebody tripped and almost fell. Not gonna tell who though. =P

Gotta go.

Today was soooooo freakin HOT!!!!! First, we had to practice for graduation --- which lasted about 3 HOURS OUTSIDE, IN THE HOT, BURNING SUN!!!!! Then I went to 4th period. Ahhh...it felt GOOD in there! ^_^ The air conditioner was on, and it felt GREAT! But then we went to lunch (at least it was pizza day)... Then after, for 5th and 6th period, we went out for the 8th grade softball game... 2 hours in the HOT, BURNING SUN! I got sunburned and crap!!!!!!!! =(

*sigh* Life sucks, doesn't it?

Well, tomorrow I'm graduating and then I'll be in high school.... *sigh* ......one more day to gooooooooooo............
