Today has been a long day! I feel like I've been saying that a lot the last couple of days, but it's true! I spent the day in studio while it was dreary and rainy outside, working away on my project that is slowly, slowly coming together.

Observe:

Shelves!
Notice how I took over someone else's desk for my own purposes, LOL.

It's like I actually did something! Which I did, obviously, but looks are so deceiving because it just looks like I glued pieces together! Which, granted, I did, but there are also dowel connections to go with that glue! Five of them to be exact, so I had to drill 10 holes for each joint! (So many holes to drill! And so much frustration making sure the holes were deep enough because the dowels/pieces would get stuck!)

I have three more sections to do tomorrow, then I can move on to the back board -- oh joy of joys!

And now, a slightly awkward (but not too awkward) transition to the 30 Day meme! (Because it's related, okay? I mean, I was gonna talk about the topic next anyway, so two birds. XP

Day 13 - This Week
This week is super busy! Here is my plan!

Monday
Go to the shop and re-cut the pieces I messed up on.
Finish putting together the rest of the shelf pieces.
Cut the black piece to the right size.
Sand the shelves.
Mark where the shelves go on the back piece.
Start attaching shelves to the back piece.

Tuesday
Class from 8AM-2PM.
Finish attaching all the shelves to the back piece.

Wednesday
Prep bookshelf for painting (clean, primer, sand, clean).
Paint first coat.
Work on and finish paper for CRP 336 (due Thursday) while primer / paint dries, lol.
Put on second coat.
Make poster that goes with Vellum entry.

Thursday
Class from 8AM-2PM.
Furniture apparently due between 10AM and 2PM -- Yeah, I dunno how that's going to work since I have class... Also, I will need someone with a truck and muscles to help me get my stuff downtown, LOLOLOL.

Friday
Class from 9AM-6PM.
Vellum Reception from 6:30PM-???

Yay, what an awesome week! I'm already tired just thinking about it, LOLOLOL. I think I'll try and get some of my CRP work done tonight since I have so much to do for Vellum this week... Also, thinking about it, I will probably need so much help this week just trying to move my bookshelf outside to sand and paint! And the people I enlist to help me will probably hate me since they have crap to do themselves, lol. Just kill me now! Can't wait until this week is over, lol.
remula: (Default)
Break from working on my bookshelf to do this meme. =)

1. Reply to this post and I'll assign you a letter.
2. List (and upload) 5 songs you love that begin with that letter.
3. Post them to your journal with these instructions.

[livejournal.com profile] aredblush gave me R.

I didn't actually think I had that many songs that started with R, but apparently I did, LOL. Anyway, it was kind of hard to choose just five, but I narrowed it down, lol, so here we go... I'll even give commentary because that's just how I roll!

Takeshi Kusao - Rakuen ~Frantic~
An image song from DN Angel, lol. I honestly have no idea what the song is about, but whatever, I like it! It kind of sounds a little haunting, haha.

Lady Sovereign - Random
Whatever, I know some people don't like Lady Sovereign, lol, but I totally love her Public Warning CD, hahaha. Anyway, this song is exactly what you expect from the title -- it's a bunch of random crap and makes a lot of references to stuff that was hot back at the time and it just makes me laugh. XP

Rise Against - Roadside
I like Rise Against and I really like this song, even though it's different than most of their other stuff since it's a little slower and it's a duet. (The girl was the vocalist from Holy Roman Empire, if you want to know, because I remember spending forever looking it up back in the day, LOL.)

The Like - Release Me
I just like The Like, lol. It kind of has a old school feel to it, but with a modern twist, or something like that.

Skillet - Rebirthing (Acoustic)
I like the acoustic version more than the regular one, haha, so yeah. XD [personal profile] aznearthdragon was actually the one who introduced me to Skillet, lol, which is weird because it's usually the other way around. XP

I feel like my list can kind of be considered a weird assortment of music, but it kind of perfectly describes my music collection! You know, random anime music, weird rap, and an assortment of hardcore / punk / rock / alternative stuff. The only thing missing from this list is cheesy C-pop, which I also have an abundance of. XD

Anyway, yay, music!

I now must venture into the rain in search of food. Yay for Sundays in studio! (There is surprisingly not that many people here -- if I were other people, I'd be worried about not finishing!)
remula: (Default)
Today was a LONG day! I basically spent most of it in studio making almost no progress at all. It's kind of sad. =/ Anyway, that stupid doweling jig I bought yesterday was a total dud, which I could kind of already tell just from looking at it, but yeah. It was obviously made for a minimum of 3/4" thickness and my pieces are only 1/2" thick, so the holes weren't centering at all -- so annoying! Luckily Teresa called me right after I made this revelation to ask me if I knew where another hardware store was besides Home Depot, so I went with her to go to Minor's where she bought resin and I got another doweling jig. The jig was freakin' $43. ;_; (SO ANNOYING BECAUSE ONLY $30 AT AMAZON!) Anyway, there was only of the one I chose there and when I opened it, the jig was obviously used because it was all dirty. x_x I got it anyway since the other style jig there didn't seem like it would work as well -- IDK, if I don't damage it and can clean it up well, I'll probably just return it after I'm done since I don't ever foresee me needing it in the future, lol.

After obtaining my new jig, I basically spent forever setting stuff up and then messing up on my first attempts. =( I now have four pieces I need to re-cut on Monday because I fail so hard. I finally got the hang of it after that, but I don't really have much progress. It's kind of annoying because I keep having to test out if the holes are deep enough and of course the pieces get stuck together and the dowels get stuck in the piece with the deeper hole (which is usually the piece I need to drill more if needed because I can't drill more on the shorter one) and then I'm constantly needing to use pliers to get them out. And then one of the times, I was trying to yang the pieces apart and me, being super dumb, had my head right above the piece and when it finally came flying out, I totally hit myself with the wood on the bottom of my lip and it hurt SO FUCKING MUCH! Luckily it didn't start bleeding, but it's a little puffy and I can see a little bit of brusing. (Hopefully it won't get worse over night, lol.) But yeah, that totally sucked. x_x Besides that, I was getting on a roll on my work, then, of course, my drill decided to die. x_x So that ended my progress for the day, lol.

Anyway, my goal for tomorrow is to get all the other shelf pieces put together so that on Monday, I only have those four shelf pieces left and then I can get to cutting the back board piece and drilling all the damn holes to attach the shelf pieces to the back board. (I honestly have no idea how the fuck I'm going to match up the holes from the shelf pieces to the back board, lol. I might need to buy some of those dowel center things.. Why didn't I think of this before when I was already at the store?)

But seriously, I don't know if I'll be able to finish all this by Thursday! =/ I basically need to get everything done by Wednesday night because I have class Thursday morning and I hear it's due in the afternoon. x_x (This week, so stressful!)

Also, I forgot to mention it somewhere up there, but I totally have a cut on my hand and I don't even know how it happened except that when I went to wash my hands halfway through the day, my ring finger near my nail was all bloody. x_x

---

Anyway, I have been forgetting about the 30 Day Meme, as usual, LOL. So here we go, catching up on the four days I missed, plus today!

Day 08 -- A Moment )

Day 09 -- Your Beliefs )

Day 10 -- What You Wore Today )

Day 11 -- Your Siblings )

Day 12 -- What’s in Your Bag )

Wow, long entry is long, lol. Anyway, don't be expecting many recs this week since I'll be busy writing papers and building my bookshelf. I have a couple recs leftover from, like, two weeks ago that I'll probably post tonight, but that's about all I have for now, lol. I can't wait until this stressful week is over!
remula: (archiTORTURE)
I realized I forgot to do the 30 Day meme the last couple of days, lol, so I'll just catch up on the last two days and do today's as well. XP (And hey, bonus for one of the days being about my day, lol, since I wanted to talk about that anyway! XD

Day 05 -- Your Definition of Love )

Day 06 -- Your Day )

Day 07 -- Your Best Friend )

Now I must do homework for tomorrow and study for my midterm on Thursday. (So much fun! NOT!)

FRIDAY!

remula: (Default)
FRIDAY FRIDAY FRIDAY! It always feels so good in theory to get to the end of the week (and this was seriously a LONG week), but the problem with Fridays, of course, is that they are my longest days in terms of hours at school, wasting away in studio, LOL. But yeah, besides the fact that I definitely did not get enough sleep last night and that I spent 20 minutes stressing out in the beginning of class writing up my other summary thing for the assignment that's due today, today has been okay so far. XP I mean, we went over what our next assignment is (write our abstract) and then professor went around talking to people, though he had to leave a few minutes ago and didn't get to me yet, haha. Maybe that's why I'm still doing relatively well. XP Anyway, I have just been informed by my roommate that we are going to a party tonight -- way to have a night off, lol.

But yeah... VELLUM IS CREEPING UP ON US! Seriously, less than two weeks and I still need to finalize my design, buy supplies, and actually build my bookshelf! And then there's the fact that the shop is NEVER OPEN, OMG. How are we suppose to work on our projects?! >O Also, I still have to buy the stupid shop card -- how lovely, paying to use something we don't really have access to. x_x

Anyway, here are days three and four of the 30 Day meme. XP

Day 03 -- Your Parents )

Day 04 -- What You Ate Today )

I think I'm gonna procrastinate (BIG SHOCKER!) and read a few fics before I get down to business on my Vellum stuff, lol.
remula: (Default)
  1. I've lost my watch! Seriously, I am very depressed by this! ;_; I was looking all over for it yesterday when I was getting ready to go grocery shopping and it was nowhere to be found. =( I have a feeling it's lost somewhere in my roommate's boyfriend's apartment because I remember taking it off and putting it in my jacket pocket when I was cooking over there, so it probably fell out and with my luck, they probably won't be able to find it. =(((( I'm so depressed at the prospect of not having a watch. =(((((( HOW WILL I SURVIVE?!

  2. Last night, Tara (my roommate), Teresa (friend who lives next door), and I had an impromptu board meeting at my place (we are all officers in the same club -- sometimes it's beneficial to have most of the board live next to each other, lol). Anyway, while we were discussing cool things like where we want to have a trip and boring things like budget and prices, we also somehow got around to talking about high school. I'm not sure how it happened, but it was probably a combination of Teresa being on FB, Tara drinking wine, and me playing "emo" music, LOL. Anyway, someone brought up the question of which clique(s) we were all in. That's always an interesting question because some people change a lot from high school to college and the problem with that question is that people tend to make assumptions about you based on cliques, obviously.

Anyway, Tara was apparently a giant clique jumper, from prissy princess to goth to emo to what she is now. It's kind of funny because I wouldn't have expected any of that from her (which, hi, back to my assumptions point, lol). And Teresa was basically a mean girl, lol, which I actually did expect because she kind of seems like the type. (No offense, I totally hung out with the mean girls type back in middle school, but yeah, she totally has that personality to be one.) And I guess I was an ROTC freak because that's basically the group I hung out with. I guess the difference is that my school wasn't very clique-y and their schools were. I mean, there were obviously cliques, but I've never really experienced anything on the level of the cliques you see on TV's version of HS, so I guess I never really understand the concept of a clique defining you and your friends. But yeah, I just get annoyed when people automatically assume something about me just because of the whole ROTC thing (not that it's specifically directed at them, but just people in general who I've mentioned the whole ROTC thing to). I mean, I know that when I talk about high school, ROTC was a major part of my HS experience, but questioning my abilities to take charge and stuff like that just because I'm generally a quiet person is not really my idea of having fun reminiscing about HS. Seriously, it's like a backhanded compliment kind of thing -- that I'm really nice and quiet, therefore it's so amazing that I could hold a high ranking position being and be able to command other people. It's like, F U, don't give me that shit! (Only I can't bring myself to say it because I try and avoid confrontation, but I'm thinking it!) Yeah, I dunno, I just wanted to vent a little because it really annoys me and it's not like ROTC is just this specific type of military-ish people or whatever -- it's pretty diverse!

  3. Another thing that happened later on last night was that Moleskines came up, probably because Tara whipped out hers to work on something and yeah, no offense to people who like/use Moleskines, but I'm one of those Moleskine haters (just like how I'm kind of an Apple hater -- whatever, I don't care what you say, I probably will not agree with your Apple love). Anyway, Tara said someone bought it for her the first time I saw it and made fun of her for it and then we were talking about some people in our major and like, I totally said that "People who use Moleskines are pretentious" and today, I saw on FB that she totally posted on her status that she Just got called pretentious for owning a Moleskine. =/ and she totally added that =/ face there at the end, as if she cared! (She is kind of a Moleskine hater too, don't let that meeh face fool you! And also, OMG, why start that drama?!) And when I talked to her earlier, she said that a lot of people actually commented on it when she checked in the morning (because, like, half of the people we know have them), but that they deleted their comments before she could see them, which just makes me laugh because now I'm totally wondering what people actually said to that. XP

  4. Lastly, I'm gonna do that whole 30 Days Meme because I can. XP So here goes...

    Day 01 - Introduction )

Yeah, I really need to stop procrastinating and figure out what I'm gonna do for the Abstract Show... It will most likely NOT be abstract, but whatever.

1. Grab a book near you.
2. Open the book to page 123.
3. Find the fifth sentence.

ASTM E 2129 Standard Practice for Data Collection for Sustainability Assessment of Building Products provides an alternative approach to the assessment of building products by providing a series of questions related to product sustainability under the following five headings:
  1. Materials
  2. Manufacturing
  3. Operational Performance of Installed Product
  4. Indoor Environmental Quality
  5. Corporate Environmental Policy.
The standard is supported by ASTM E 2114 Standard Terminology for Sustainability Relative to the Performance of Buildings. Although the methods differ slightly in their organization and methodology, the goal of the cited organizations is rational assessment of the environmental impact of building products.

I cheated only a slightly bit on this, lol. I mean, the PRM is actually the closest book to me (sitting right next to my laptop), but it doesn't really have normal page numbers, so I just opened the PDF version of the book that I have on my laptop to find page 123. XP

Some more meme-type things, because I really need to take a break from reading fics all day, LOL.

Survey thing stolen from [livejournal.com profile] someinstant:

ME ME ME! )

And because I can...

You know that meme I did last week or whatever, the "You know you're from (city/state) when..." one? Yeah, I'm taking that idea and sticking my major in it because it's been a while since I've read one of those lists. XP

1. Go to Google.com
2. Type in "You know you're an (major) student when..." and press I'm Feeling Lucky.
3. Copy the list and bold the ones that apply.

You know you're an architecture student when... )

Wow, so that was significantly longer than I thought it would be, LOL.

  1. (500) Days of Summer, with some Inception on the side (haha).
On Saturday, [personal profile] aznearthdragon and I watched (500) Days of Summer. I honestly knew nothing about this movie before I watched other than the fact that Joseph Gordon-Levitt was in it, LOL. Anyway, I thought the movie was pretty good. I thought that Tom was totally adorable and completely awkward trying to woo Summer and then they were such an adorably awkward couple once they were together, LOLOL. Like, in the beginning of their "relationship", if you can call it that, (since they weren't together yet), there was the part where Summer was like, "Oh, I'm going to the supply room. Need anything?" and Tom was like, "Oh, you know what I need" with that suggestive tone of voice and OMG I was covering my facing and cringing SO MUCH because OMG SO EMBARRASSING! And yeah, there were a lot of little awkward moments between them which I won't mention because that will make this super long, LOL.

So in the movie, Tom was a greeting card writer, which is like, one of the most random jobs ever! I mean, I can't even imagine what a greeting card writer does all day at work. (I imagine that it's kind of dull and you probably feel stupid a lot, trying to come up with "innovative" ways to say the same thing. XP) But anyway, him being a greeting card writer totally reminded me of an HP fic I read a few months ago where Draco was a greeting card writer, LOL. (Greeting Expectations, if you haven't read it.) And yeah, when I read that fic, I also had thoughts about WTF kind of job greeting card writer is. XP

Anyway, besides being a greeting card writer, Tom studied architecture which I thought was completely random, but kind of awesome in the "hey, I'm studying architecture too!" kind of way. XP I was totally with Summer in her thinking that Tom could do so much more if he would just try going back to architecture, you know? And then, of course, he does quit his job (albeit in a horribly embarrassing way -- yes, I cringed through that scene too!) and began his quest to find a job at a firm with chalkboard list (seriously, giant chalkboard in his apartment, WTF?!) and bazillion interviews. And I was totally thinking, "Gosh darn it! He has to get a job because he already lost the girl and quit his job! He needs something good in his life!" and then, of course, we don't find out if he gets a job. x_x But he meets a girl, which I guess is suppose to be the hope for better things to come, hopefully, LOL. (But seriously, dating another architect? I was totally going "HELLS NO!" in my head because I am super bias about not wanting to date someone in architecture. XP)

So while he was going to all those interviews near the end of the movie, JGL was dressed in a suit! And, of course, my brain immediately went to Inception because JGL is in a suit there too! (Ywah, I know.. Don't judge me. XP) And, of course, my brain went "HELLO, Inception/(500) Days of Summer crossover, Y/Y?!" and then today (yesterday), I got my wish! Trouble Sleeping, which features Arthur being, in actual fact, Tom Hansen from (500) Days! It surprisingly works well and I would like to say, more Inception/500 Days crossovers, please!

  2. I was skimming through my f-list and then I saw [livejournal.com profile] foxxcub's post where she summarizes her idea for an Inception high school AU with fake!boyfriends. And it's like my mind's been read because I was just thinking earlier that there needs to be more HS AUs and/or fake!boyfriend fics in my life and how HS AU + fake!boyfriends is like the BEST THING EVER and then I saw the post. I HOPE THIS GETS WRITTEN SOON AND POSTED! ♥♥♥

  3. Another survey thing, because [livejournal.com profile] _fantasmo_ posted another one and I am easily won over by these things. XP

It's been a while since I've posted anything (well, anything that isn't twitter updates, lol), and I kind of miss it, so... Plus, I'm not even doing anything this summer, so I should at least do something semi-productive (as opposed to the massive slacking off that has been going on so far this break). XP So here we go, in list form.

1. Why can't the freakin' department post up the fifth year professors already?! I think I might have posted about this before or something, I don't know, but I'm going into my fifth (and last!) year of college majoring in architecture and in the ARCH deptment, there's this whole process of applying for fifth year. If you click on that link, you will see that the fifth year faculty list is STILL NOT UP and that is just not cool, okay?!

2. Fifth year thesis project: I'm not really sure what I wanna do still! Fifth year is different from the other four years ARCH school because we get basically the whole year to work on a project that we come up with ourselves. Some people seem like they know what they've wanted to do since day one or something, but I am not one of those people. -_- I mean, I have general objectives of what I want to get out of my project, but I don't really know what I want to do. Pretty much the only ideas I have so far for specific project types are:
- Library, because I like books. (Yeah, I seriously wrote that in my statement of purpose, I think almost exactly in that way even! LOL!)
- Airport, because that was one of my first ideas wayyyyy back when. (This is a pretty ambitious one, I think, and it doesn't help that I have pretty much minimal experience even using an airport, LOL.)

So, feel free to give me ideas because I want to have options to look into. XP

3. Meme. Haven't done one of these in a while...

Lastly, ten years ago today, the number one song was NSYNC - It's Gonna Be Me. This obviously inspired a NSYNC music-listening marathon. NSYNC - No Strings Attached -- best album ever, y/y? XP

Your dominant hue is green. You’re logical and steadfast, focused on figuring life out and doing what makes sense. You value being trusted because you know you’re taking the time to figure things out and everyone should just follow you.

Your saturation level is higher than average – You know what you want, but sometimes know not to tell everyone. You value accomplishments and know you can get the job done, so don’t be afraid to run out and make things happen.

Your outlook on life can be bright or dark, depending on the situation. You are flexible and see things objectively.

It’s been a while since I’ve done one of these quiz-type things, but this is pretty interesting, haha. I’m also amused that my result is a shade GREEN. XP (Because I hate green, obviously! Can’t you tell how much I detest it from the color combination on my site?!) Anyway, the result is pretty accurate, but then again, the way you take the quiz makes it that way. I kind of wish the green that came out was more of a jade-ish green though, lol, or puke-ish green (I know, I’m weird, lol). I had doubts of a lime-ish green popping up, since I didn’t choose that many “happy” adjectives, but I would have been down with that too.

So, I feel really bad for not updating my LJ in forever.. I miss updating so much. ;_; It was a stress-reliever and a chance to get everything else, but I'm always so busy now.. And when I'm not busy, I'm too tired to compose a post, so yeah.. But I'll try my hardest from now on!

I have a midterm to study for, but I did this earlier today on Facebook, since everyone else was doing it, so yeah...

I'm not gonna "tag" anyone here, but take it if you want (that is, if you even read my LJ anymore, haha).

Once you've been tagged, you have to write a note with 25 random things, shortcomings, facts, habits or goals about you. At the end choose some people to be tagged, and they have to do the same.

1. I'm an INTJ. I pretty much agree with everything that it says except for the part which says that INTJs are good at decision-making, 'cause I'm very indecisive at most things.

2. I've never aspired to be an architect (and I don't think I'm really good at it) -- being an architecture major just kinda happened and I've spent too long here to not finish it out. I figure I can always get other degrees when I figure out my true calling.

3. When I was a senior in high school, our teachers gave a unique award to everyone in the school ('cause it was a small school and they all knew us). Some of the awards were like, "Most Likely to Wear a Pink Shirt" and "Best Girl/Guy to Bring Home to Mom" and things like that. I was awarded "Most Likely to Take Over the World and Perfect Attendance". I thought it was weird that there was technically two different titles for my award while everyone else just got one. Also, I was slightly embarrassed and I still can't figure out if they meant the taking over the world thing in a good "oh she's smart" kinda way or in a "she's so evil way".

4. The guys in CTA (my school) always said I was evil, but after receiving the award stated above, they started asking me not to kill them (and stuff) after I took over the world.

5. I was in ROTC in high school for three years and was also part of the Unarmed Drill Team.

6. I was valedictorian in high school. My valedictorian speech was about procrastination, lol. Obviously I am unable to follow my own advice to not procrastinate.

7. I wanted to be a writer for a long time, but I don't think I could ever be an English major. Also, now that I'm in architecture, I think my writing skills have gone downhill...

8. My goal in life is to write a book. About what, I'm not sure, but it will happen someday, so you guys better buy my book! XP

9. I'm a planner. I love planning and scheduling things. I could find a job where I could plan and not have to talk to people all the time, then my life would be set. Too bad mostly all planning jobs require you to interact a lot with people...

10. I love making lists. To-Do lists are the best, in conjunction with making schedules to get things done. Unfortunately, I have a hard time completing my to-do lists on-time, even with all the schedules I make.

11. I'm pretty sure that I should have chosen to major in engineering. Almost everyone tells me that I think like an engineer or that I look like an engineer (how can you look like an engineer?). I would get offended except I know it's true.

12. Although I'm pretty good in technical areas (except physics -- I suck at physics), my grades in college have disagreed with me. If you saw my rows of C's (and a few scattered B's) for math, physics, ARCE, etc.. you would probably think I would be no help what-so-ever in those subjects, but I actually understand the stuff -- I just suck at test-taking. I'd probably need to review it for a few minutes though, if I haven't done it in a while, but I can usually figure out how to do it, especially if it's math.

13. I like being organized and having everything neat and orderly, but if you saw my room, you would think I was a complete slob. Fortunately (or unfortunately for me), I'm only a slob in my own personal spaces.

14. I'm a pretty passive person until people go too far and piss me off -- then I'm pretty scary. Lucky for everyone, I have a pretty high tolerance for what I am willing to accept from people, so the scary side doesn't come out often.

15. I hate public speaking -- I would much rather be in charge behind the scenes. Someone else can be the public figure for me.

16. I have a tendency to take too many classes, even though I know that I can't really handle it without having my grades suffer. This could partly be due to the fact that the one (and only time) I took 12 units, I had my worst quarter GPA ever. But mostly I think it's because I want to learn everything and I figure I'm paying for the quarter anyway, so why not maximize it?

17. I'm taking Mandarin (with credit by examination this quarter), but I really suck at speaking. On the other hand, I'm awesome at reading comprehension. XD Unfortunately, I think that learning Mandarin is making my already limited Cantonese even worse.

18. I'm obsessed with listening to music. I have over 20GB of music on my laptop, but I'm always wanting more.

19. I have never really traveled, ever. Going to SLO was the farthest I've ever gone from SD. I've never even crossed the border even though it's like 30 minutes away from my house. In my first year of college, we went on a field trip to SF and that has become the farthest I've ever gone. In October, I went to Arizona for an AIAS conference, but I don't really count that since I didn't really get to spend much time there since I missed my plane in the beginning and had to leave earlier than everyone else.

20. People always say that I have too many things open on my computer. I just think it's more convenient to have up the stuff I use a lot anyway, since I won't have to re-open it later.

21. I love to read, but only for fun. Reading for class sucks and even if the book is good, I would still hate reading it at the time because it's for class.

22. The only wish I've ever had related to being an architect was to design my own house so I could have a giant library. I want to fill it with a ton of books, but books are expensive, so I need to make a bunch of money first.

23. I think being ambitious is one of the most important character traits to have. It's hard for me to respect someone if they don't have the drive for success. This is probably why I like Slytherin the most in the Harry Potter books. I still firmly believe that Slytherin is the best, even though JKR didn't really redeem them much in the end (she's sending a bad message to kids, damnit!). This is also why Albus Severus Potter must be a Slytherin! XP It would be unacceptable to me any other way.

24. I love watching anime and I was pretty much obsessed with Gundam Wing for a while. Even though I know some people might think that it was boring because it was very political, more about character development, and not really the same as the other Gundam series, I still think it's the best one.

25. My all time favorite anime (and manga) is Hikaru no Go. If you haven't watched/read it, you must because it's just that awesome.

Stuff Meme

Because I'm a slacker and I haven't done any memes in forever and I'm just tired to school..

This is the meme where you list all the stuff in your bag or purse...

I'm using my backpack because that's what I carry around all the time and if I'm carrying my purse, I just put my wallet in it, which usually resides in my backpack, so yeah...

In my backpack, there is...

- Sketchbook
- Black spiral notebook I use for physics and speech, so there's also all the loose papers from physics homework and other notes taken on loose leaf stuffed in it
- Physics supplemental notes (most of the time, if I don't forget it on my desk)
- Architecture kit thing (on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays)
- Pack of six Micron pens
- Alvin compass and divider set thing
- Erasing shield
- Two blending stumps
- Three blending sticks
- Kneaded rubber
- Sandpaper
- Parallel ruler
- Architectural scale
- French curves set (eight curves)
- 6" 45-45 Triangle
- 6" 30-60 Triangle
- Two 12" 30-60 Triangles
- Adjustable triangle
- 15" 45-45 Triangle
-Two circle templates (from 1/16" to 3.5")
- Ruler
- Pencil sharpener
- Two black pilot G2 pens
- Two red pilot G2 pens
- Kearny SCT pen
- Motorola pen
- Black sharpie
- Green Pentel pen
- Red Pentel pen
- Orange liquid accent highlighter
- Green .5 mechanical pencil
- Two Mars plastic eraser
- BBB Stickie pad
- Two things of .5 lead
- One thing of .7 lead
- Blue tape measure I got from CTA
- Wallet
- License
- SD Library Card
- AIAS Card
- CSI Card
- Key Club Card
- Allstate Card
- Student Advantage Card
- ATM Card
- Credit Card
- Various pictures from RO Ball and Prom and whatever
- The name card thing you have on your crib when you're born (yeah, I have that in the wallet)
- PCG business card
- Blick Card
- Albertson's Card
- MovieWater Card
- Borders Reward Card
- CTA Tran's business card
- Money and change
- Amtrak luggage tag
- Set of 12 drawing pencils (4H to 6B)
- Cal Poly (skinny) green lanyard
- 1GB USB Drive
- Cal Poly ID holder
- Cal Poly ID card
- CAD Lab print card ($5 on it)
- Stenner Glen meal card
- Stenner Glen laundry card
- Fall schedule
- Winter schedule
- Contact eye drops
- Melon delight body lotion (I don't even like the smell that much 'cause it's strong. @_@)
- Job Corp mirror
- Post-Its
- Blistex (the best lip balm/chapstick ever)
- Two AA rechargeable batteries (for camera)
- Two x-acto knives
- Three pads
- Two pantilinears
- TI-83 calculator
- Water bottle

And on my person, I always have...

- Keys
- Cell phone (Samsung T609)

And there we have it.. I sure carry a lot of things on the daily basis. Usually there are more pens in there, but I've taken out a bunch to use to take notes (color-coded, duh. XP) and they haven't found their way back to the backpack yet.. And usually there's glue and a cutting mat in the backpack too, if x-acto knives are in there, since that usually means project...

Once upon a time, I carried a 2" binder, but then I realized I don't really have a use for it since I use my spiral notebook like a binder now and that was just taking up space.. And there used to be a 2006-2007 planner, but I stopped using that after winter break and I never got back into the swing of it.

You scored as Sasuke. You?re Sasuke, the angsty popular kid.
Good-looking, cool and smart ? you?re admired by many. However, you don?t care about people that much. You have one ambition, one goal in your life, and when it comes to that, people are just on your way. Try to give up the hatred you might feel because of your past and learn to show your caring side.
